IMO this is the weakest aspect of his game and hence why we need to work on passing low to him on the lead or allowing him to stand and outbody his opponent.
I agree he's capable of taking contested marks but not consistently. But there are very few in the competition who do. Tredrea, Anthony Rocca, Pavlich, Lloyd (though mainly takes his on the lead), come to mind but even someone like Riewoldt doesn't.

I agree with you here Jolly should spend more time on the ground and rest at FF / FP, I think Ball has had a great season -one of his best with us, and we look dangerous up front with Jolly resting there - I forget who came up with or the exact phrase about your talls getting any shorter towrds the end of a game.

          Problem with Hall???

What problem? He's equal third in the Coleman Medal and he's not even our full time full forward (see: O'Loughlin).

I believe the problem as people are analysing him is - WE really needed someone to stand up in the forward line on the weekend - Unfortunately Hall did not have his best game. We could all imagine Hall taking a strong mark and kicking accurately but it just didn't happen this week. Let's see how he goes against his bunny Fletcher this week (hope I haven't talked too soon!).

I'd still say there aren't many Centre Half Forwards you'd pick before him in the League. Only players around him or slightly more all round performers would be Riewoldt, Tredrea and J. Brown. Don't know if I'd swap him for Tredrea and only swap for the other two due to their relatively younger age.

There was an umpire in the back line somewhere and he was making outrageous decisions. A commentator commented on it, asking what the hell he was doing.

The game was so disappointing because it was winnable, yet when we were flooding it wasn't working and we made many mistakes. The win was not meant to be.

Imagine what the Crows supporters would've been like if we'd won - you'd be running for your life.
Vicky Pollard: Oh my god I so can't believe you just said that this is like the time I threw Anita's nokia in the canal as a joke and she's like you have well got to buy me another one and I'm like get over it and then Paul came over who's adopted anyway and started saying that I fancy Mark Bennett but oh my god just because I have sex with someone doesn't mean I fancy them.

And that brings me to another negative... when we lose, F/Head returns

I never have. This was not just a celebration - he had his arms out wide and waving them upwards and, apparently angrily, yelling at them. It looked like he was as disappointed by the rest of the team's effectiveness as we were.

Big weekend - I've never seen a player indicate that his coach can get ****ed as Hird did when he kicked one of his goals, either. Maybe he can help Jolly get less time on the bench?
