I don't eat animals since discovering this ability. I used to. But one day the lamb I was eating came through to me and ever since then I haven't been able to eat meat.
Originally posted by liz Hope its OK, because I've just booked myself in there. It's not an option that appears on any of the last minute deal websites that I've been trawling through.
Originally posted by Go Swannies Weren't you both booked into the same place? I hope this is the standard of accommodation you are asking about! But why - didn't you notice?
Tch Tch!!! Careful there GS, I was asking abt the Accom. and I live in Melb already, so I didn't need to find any Accom.
I have to confess that I interpreted your post, Scott, as indicating you were staying there too (which confused me at the time, because I thought you lived in Melbourne).
The guesthouse was fine. Not ensuite - but you wouldn't expect that at $65 a night for a double. Very friendly manager, cosy, conveniently located (about 10 minute tram ride from the city and the tram stops almost outside the place), small 'village' of shops just around the corner, including a couple of good cafes and three upmarket restaurants.
There is a lounge, kitchen and dining room downstairs, with computers for internet access and a big TV with cable TV. My room had a fridge, small TV, microwave and heater in it as well.
Will definitely consider staying there again and can recommend it to anyone else who doesn't demand ensuite creature comforts.
Originally posted by ScottH hehe!!, the "me too" was in relation to the fact, I pointed Liz to the place, and hoped I didn't point her to a rat infested hovel.
The Pies weren't playing until Sunday (and, on reflection, hardly then).
