    Awesome game LRT!

Easily his best game for the year
Was good to see him being used by his team mates across the ground and his overhead marking was very good

Just another chapter in his level of improvement

I agree. He even did a tiny bit of one handed lairising in the last quarter.

        Best. Game. Ever.

He's finally in the best 22, and not far away from being a reliable defender. He's still got a fair way to go to be a genuine playmaker - but he only turns 22 in September. The way he's improving, he'll be a very, very good player at 24-25.

Yeah he played fantastic, he has come so far this year to get into some good form, its a positive seeing him in such good form coming into finals.

Yep. Best I've ever witnessed by a fair margin.

Body positioning, strong overhead, didn't give away dumb frees, and good decisionmaking re: when to mark and when to spoil. Let's make no mistakes, he's still 6th best of our 6 defenders (well, maybe on a par with Dempster), but he has come on in massive leaps faster than anyone expected.

Still not necessarily the dude whose hands you want the ball to be in when under pressure and 30 metres out from goal, but no obvious clangers today and a beautiful lace-out pass to Barry Hall in the 3rd q which led to a goal. So neat that Michael/Bradshaw gave up the ghost and didn't even bother competing for it.

In fact I rated him in the TLM today.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

LRT was great today - almost would have had him in the votes - but hard to put him in when the ball didn't really get in our backline all that much! I cannot believe it is the same bloke who I saw only a couple of months ago who couldn't even hold a chest mark let alone a contested ball! Keep up the good work LRT. Oh, and those couple of passes he pinpointed to our forwards were superb! I think I recall at one stage towards the end of the game the little marks graphic came up and he was second in marks only to Hall - 12 marks!

Bah. No big game. He is finally starting to take the marks that he has always put his body in the position to do so and is backing himself with the footy a bit more. Thats to be expected with the game time he has had. He is still our best CHB and hopefully this will inspire Roos to test him out on better CHF's in the future.

Seems to have added a new weapon to his arsenal - setting up goals from half back. Kicked a beauty to Barry and should have had another assist to Noggy.

Don't read too much into the 12 marks though, a lot of it was from chipping it in our back half. Still, some contested ones amongst those were very nice.

The faith shown in him by the coaching staff is paying off. With his confidence up, he now looks like he belongs at this level. His game today was his best ever. He was solid in defence, took a couple of timely marks, provided the option as the link man out of defence and his disposal really couldn't be faulted (unless of course you really wanted to nitpick).

Here's hoping this vein of form continues, because if it does, it will be one piece of the puzzle found in the areas that we may have gaps in the team.

                          I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

Don't know about "awesome" but fairly solid nonetheless, albeit against fairly junior opponents. Would've liked to see him take on J.Brown but you can only play on who you've been given and today he handled himself pretty well.
