indeed, LRT has improved but by far the biggest difference in his game, is people's (including his team-mates) perception of it.

Will be a great test for him this week up against the in-form Nathan Thompson.

Who to drop though? Vogels has been impressive as the third tall in our forward line so i wouldn't want him dropped, but he seems like the only one to make way for Schaubs.

It will most likely go to either Leo or C-Bolts.

Brilliantly spotted! This is EXACTLY what a CHB should be doing. Coupled with clever forays into the forward line, you have a truly defensive weapon. Until that game, he was very much just a "wall" in defence. And thats fine, but I dont think you can win the big games if your main KPP 50m from your own goals is not used to funnel attacks through the corridor.

Kudos to LRT! The haircut was noticed by some too

Headline: LRT gets to play on someone at the same development stage as him, and tears him up.

Footnote: All those now jumping on the LRT bandwagon, please form an orderly queue.

                AFL stats:
                Lewis Roberts-Thomson 3 years, 42 games.
                Merrett 1 year, 14 games.
                Spaanderman 1 year, 2 games.

"Same development stage"!??!? He has more AFL games and years under his belt than his opponents combined total.

                Wakey wakey, hands off.

He was playing on Jared Brennan for a sizeable period in the second half too, on the wing I think. At that time, Brisbane was playing with 9-10 men in the defence.

In which case, he has more AFL games than three of his opponents combined.

As I noted already he wasn't on Brennan for much of the time - he was a loose man for at least half of it. Had some interesting contests against Brennan though. They'd make an interesting matchup next year for a whole game when Brennan is fully fit.

Add Brennan in and LRT has still played more games than all of his opponents.

I still think 'awesome' is overstating his game (unless you are comparing to his previous performances and not to AFL standard).

That brought out the LRT critics, still trying to squeeze some life out of their dying credibility.

Brennan, Spanderman, etc are a lot closer to LRT's development (less AFL games, but many more footy games), than the likes of Scott Lucas and the like which they were so quick to compare against back when it was fashionable.

Spaanderman is playing only his second AFL game - a bit hard to compare.

Merrett doesn't really have any more footy experience than LRT - he also started late.

Everyone had generally been positive and pointing out interesting aspects, but as usual, you try to turn it into something else.

Use of " " doesnt make a wrong argument right.
Why do you do it in 90% of your posts ?

FWIW, Merret, Spaanderman, and Brennan have considerable more footy experience than LRT, and therefore a better comparison for his development than Lucas.
