If for example you are buying 4 tickets in one transaction, how are they going to check that you have 4 seperate memberships?

No you need the actual card or just the member number?

Hey Giant, I was just emailing another Swans fan in Perth. But I really want to sit with other Swans fans for this game. Any chance I can give you my membership number and and get you to get me a ticket with you, too? (I think you can get a max of 4 tickets at once - you only need 3?) Can you PM me?

I'm not sure if you'd be allowed to go see them train. In Melbourne they have a little session but it's not open to public.

The Herald (I think) said they may fly over as early as Tuesday to adjust to the hard Subi surface.

Hey, what a great idea! Let's completely stuff around with the routine on the eve of our second biggest match since 1996!

I can get you my ticket for the Cheer Squad area GS, as I'm not going over (flights nearing the $600 mark). You'd just have to come to my place and pick it up before you leave mate!.

Are the WA Swans Supporters club getting an allocation together?

I would have thought that travelling to WA stuffs around with the routine anyway - and trainers with more nous than you and I may be trying to minimise it.

If you accept that flying over on Friday or even Thursday might be a bit late, then It's either Tuesday or Wednesday. As I learn at least half a dozen times a year the effect of even two or three hours of timeshift is substantial on your bodyclock. At best, you can expect it to adjust at about a hour for each day so if they go on Tuesday by Thursday they should be just about right.

Has anyone noticed that Ch10 Sydney has the game starting at 9.55 pm in today's TV liftout? Is there a lag or will it start at 8 pm WST?

I can't see how the team needs three days away from the club and their homes to adjust for a two hour time difference.

Jet lag as I was trying to explain (badly apparently). Travel is my work (I'm trying to find a work reason to write off my trip to Perth on Friday) so I live with it. You'd expect to get it coming on going from Europe or the Americas (and you do). But I've also found I've been really knocked around with the much shorter time differential like Thailand - even Bali. For me, I can work through being a bit fuzzy for a few days. But an elite athlete, a 5-10% drop in performance spells disaster (esp against the Eagles midfield).

The Subi effect seems to be much less of an issue this year - compared to last. Does anyone know if the teams have changed their routines this season?

Obviously, US teams suffer it more than we do. I bet Roos has detailed American research on the effect and how to minimise it.

Also, the effect will be enhanced because it's a night game. Not much point getting kids like LRT to learn to play then have them finishing at subjective midnight.
