Okay agree with that, but he had opportunities in the 2nd and 3rd with relatively easy shots that he could have knocked over in his sleep. Hall doesnt usually give away easy shots like that.

And the man who started it, the Schneiderman, can kick his third for the quarter. And the swans are in the Grand Final!

With a Brownlow, only one player (occasionally more) gets a medal. Same with the Coleman.Originally posted by punter257

But with a flag, everyone who plays gets a premiership medallion."Unbelievable!" -- Nick Davis leaves his mark on the 2005 semi finalComment

I think what you saw of Baz on Saturday, and I'd say throughout the season, is simply what comes naturally. The guy is pure class. All year long he was improving scoring opportunities when he could well have had a crack.
The beauty of this is he's been playing this way even when the going was tough yet he persisted throughout and now is reaping the benefit of leading a team firing on all cylinders.Comment

what i meant was that i'd rather us be holding the premiership cup than having a coleman or brownlow winner and no cup.Originally posted by barry
flag + coleman > coleman
coleman > nothing.
They arent mutually exclusive.
coleman > short pass practice against a team tanking.
thats what u play footy for - team success and i'm happy with the way barry is going about itRoosy = LEGENDComment

Nup. He's made a big statement to all the boys... "I don't play for personal gratification, I play for the Bloods. Let's kick some arse in the finals."Originally posted by LittleSchneider
Completely agree with NMW Bloods. But.....
This game was one of those that was would rank in the 'ordinary' and defiantely not all that important matches. It was against a very ordinary team and the game wasnt in doubt past the 1st change - so, having said that, with the game pretty much won and this being nothing but a glorified training run why didnt Hall have a crack?
If we were playing the Saints or Crows and we were only up by 2, then I completely agree with what Bloods has said and Hall should do whats best for the team, but he had a chance in a match that wasnt all that crucial. Should have had a go, especially in the third and fourth quaters. An instrument with only 9 notes! Surely it's easy to play?

Heard him on 2UE last night on the way home. They asked the same question of him. His answer says it all (significantly paraphrased):Originally posted by LittleSchneider

"In a game against a team like that, with no offence to Hawthorn, but a team low on the ladder, its easy to start getting selfish. I thought that if I ignored the Coleman and made sure we won the game it would send a signal to the boys that we had to keep playing as a team. And thats not disrespecting the Coleman medal either, as I would love to have had one. Plus I love to bring the other players into the game."Our Greatest Moment:
