Madness. If he starts chip passing it around when he's marked inside 50 in the finals, I'll be shouting some unsavouries at the TV.

Barry, dont you think your teamates would like to bestow upon you the coleman in reward for all the hard work you've done throughout the year.

Hawthorn were tanking. We were never going to lose.

Good point - and where was 'we gave it 110%' and 'we're taking it one game at a time' and 'to their credit they boys really put in'.

He only passed off when a player was in a better pos from marks, or in general play to give a team mate a set shot.

Even then. If you are clear inside 50, have a shot. It may look cute to pass it around inside 50 against no opposition in perfect conditions. But in finals, with greater pressure, just put in on the boot.

Barry, it's hard to work out why you just don't get it re Baz and being part of a team, working towards a common goal.

But not chipping to a player free in a better position?? A certain goal beats a 50:50 chance every time.

C'mon barry, lighten up. It was just a practice match. He was just exercising different scoring options with his team mates. You can be assured he won't do that comes finals.

True, I guess I had flash backs to the start of the year when we were overusing the ball and coming unstuck.

                    Agree with all above.

He was not show ponying, he was giving it up if others had a better shot, but in the heat of a tight fierce battle, I dare say he will have a ping, unless someone is 50m in the clear.

I suspect he'll keep playing the type of footy that has won us 10 out of the last 12 games and made him arguably the most valuable player in the competition.

So why not play like that against the dawks, and get a coleman as well ?

I think he answered that question last night. He didn't want it. He felt it would send the wrong message to the team.

He is the Finals Captain. Although we may not agree or approve, he has the right to do this. It was his award to accept or reject.

I for one salute him. Good to see this sort of selflessness in the team.
