Went to the the game tonight then just finished watching a recording of the game and totally pissed
Just cannot believe that we came so close to winning then had it taken off us. We have put up with this for too long.
Would love to see Sydney supporters boycott the game next week and send the afl a message. Hit them where it hurts most
    Where's the remote?

This excerpt from the Australian sums it up pretty well:

Three West Coast goals came from free-kicks and a couple more directly followed free-kicks, while the Swans also lost one following a controversial decision.

Swans big man Adam Goodes was not awarded a free-kick despite appearing to be clearly tripped 30m out from goal with his side trailing by three points in time-on in the final term.

But the biggest decision was a reversal of a free-kick to Brett Kirk 13 minutes into the final term.

Sydney was up by nine points and Eagle Tyson Stenglein was on the mark when Sydney's Leo Barry ran into him.

Umpire Shane McInerney paid an extraordinary free-kick to Stenglein, and the former Crow kicked truly. The Eagles were buoyed and the game was on.

The goal of Nick Dais that they took off us because of a 50/50 with Barry and Glass in the first quarter was also a shocker. An absolute travesty by the maggots.

In a close game, where we led for maybe 2/3s explain to me how we get 2-1 against in the frees!

          A goal disallowed.

          The Kirk reversal.

The Goodes refusal quickly followed by Cousins getting one (of course).

And pls explain how Scott McLaren gets the 2vs3 final after his usually inept year of umpiring!

I am gutted, if we had lost by 30pts so be it, but to miss a prelim thru' umpires has probably cost us a Premiership.

WE pay Demetriou and Gieschen and the umps, no-one else, the fans own the game not the clubs or the bloated posturing AFL Executives and we need action!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's now the day after and unfortunately my pain and anger has not diminished.

That was the most incompetent and biassed umpiring performance I have ever seen.

How Goodes not paid a free for being legged is beyond me.

The umpires have robbed the Swans of a premiership this year.

The more i think about the more it hurts. I keep trying to calm myself down as its only a game.

But i can't. The fact that the game was there to be won and yet again the pathetic weasels get in the way and have to dominate a game.

This is what the afl gets for putting a blanket over the umps. They are allowed to do what they pleased and not allowed to be scrutinized.

I so hate you Demtriou atm. Yeah I am looking for a conspiracy, but i think a directive from the big fat arsewipe to make sure Sydney doesn?t win the flag. I can't explain the big f ups by the umps. The goodes one hurt as you see the umpire clearly in view.

I did notice that their bouncing of the ball was pretty good in general - obviously the AFL umpiring department place more emphasis on an umpire skill at bouncing the ball than they do on getting decisions right (just see Mark Fraser as a perfect example).

Went to bed last night disgusted and very angry. Nothing has changed this norning. Our team did us proud and played themselves to a stanstill. To have victory stolen from them by those incompetent maggotts is a travesty. To be beaten fair and square is disappointing but a lot easier to contend with. The blatant errors by those tossers is unforgiveable.

I believe our team will bounce back. We will bounce back, but it is hard to be uplifting at this moment. Go the bloods.

I am absolutely shattered...the whole family is. I can't say we deserved to win, because we DIDN'T win. I do believe we SHOULD still have won, regardless of the very bad umpiring decisions. Leos 'shepherd' where the eagle actually moved into his path was particularly pathetic. That said, surely Leo didn't need to get that close and give the maggot an excuse to harm us. What cost us the game, and I'm not LRT bashing here, was the stupid kick out of the backline that he turned over for a goal. That, to me, sent the message to the eagles that we still have a sniff here. Bazza had his arms clearly chopped in the first quarter, even I saw it from however many thousand kilometres I was away...one rule to use against our backs, and to conveniently forget against our forwards. These games are becoming decided not by the players but on the umpiring...and that umpiring apologist twerp, Derek Humphrey-Bear has the audacity to say games are not decided by umpires...

I agree with the assesssment of the Goodes' legging etc. but Please don't say that stuff about "Where do the umpires Live?' I have posted before that I used to be married to an umpire and the stories of retribution are ghastly. The worst is one man coming home and finding his dearly loved dog dead on the front door mat with a note attached. He never recovered

                          No-one deserves stuff like that.

Feeling really ripped off now. Watching Cats Demons, two incidents within minutes of each other, demon player tackles cat player on demon half forward line, tackle falls around cat legs, free is paid.

Second, free paid to demon on cat half forward line, cat player on mark is soundly bumped by demon player, no action taken.

Yep, I think it was Michael Christian who said commented something along the lines of "Goodes would have enjoyed that one"

And for the second incident, I'm glad someone else saw it too. I thought my eyes were deceiving me for a second.

One of the goal umpires better pray that the margin isn't 1 goal at the end. Gave Kingsley a goal when it was clearly over the line.

Oh well... even the Umpires Boss thought we got the raw end of the deal.
