Jeeezuz - get over it! He's basicallty admitted that he thinks it's as stupid a decision as (almost) everyone else does. What sort of imbecile would not accept the kick?

I think he comes out of this pretty well.

It contrasts with a Wayne Carey incident when he marked the ball across the line, was awarded the mark & played on to kick the winning goal. I remember him saying that he knew the decision was crap but he didn't care because they won (same as saying "sucked in") - I remember thinking at the time that it said a lot about what sort of person he is.

yeah its time to forget about this incident. at the end of the day if it was at the other end of the ground and we nailed a goal, we wouldnt be complaining. we'd be saying "about bloody time something went our way". we'll get our break soon and hopefully in the next few weeks it bites the weagles on the bum and they get some shizenhousen decisions

but thats not the case, lets get the bitterness out of our systems

I don't recall many people saying we should have handed back the 4 points back when we beat the Roos a few years ago when Cresswell 'cheated'...

Fair call. I don't think North were crucified all of that night like we were against the Eagles though.

No - just the ramifications. And I think umpiring errors would have been more important in the EFs than our QF - as they are knock outs. In H&A you are aiming for 4 points from the game. In most finals, an error can cost you a season. In our case the errors didn't put us out for 2005 but, being realistic, have dealt a blow that is likely to prove fatal to our flag hopes in 2005.

That's a bit different. Firstly, I don't think anyone is asking for the game to be awarded to us. There is some anger at Stenglein but it wasn't his fault - the umpires are to blame.

Secondly, a QF is kind of important. I can't remember what happened to the Roos in the Cresswell year - did it affect them?

Thirdly, as your post and all those following have shown, we know he dived and that the Roos were robbed - where are the Eagles supporters admitting that they were lucky?

Fourthly, I don't care about the Roos.
