    Confession time...

At what point did you concede the game was gone?

I finally gave up the ghost when Craig Bolton missed from 30m running into an open goal...

    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Mid point third quarter. We looked gone for all monies. I was switching the channels then.

We were very very lucky to get away with this.

2nd quarter when Sydney couldn't get past the HF line to save themselves

It would have been after Geelong's goal early in the last quarter. I was ready to turn over to the cricket if Geelong got another goal.

        They didn't get one.

I was ready to turn it off when G. Ablett marked it 50 metres out right in front.

        He missed.

I was reasonably confident it was gone midway through the third quarter after we'd missed 3 easy goals. When MOL kicked the goal, I wavered, but then we missed the chest mark on the siren, I was set again.

I remained confident it was gone through the final quarter until Davis kicked his first goal. At that point I decided we could win and Davis was going to do it! What a nice prediction to get right!!

That one did it for me ... hurt my calf, nearly broke my hand (but did break the coffee table), have no voice left and when I rang my brother after the game, HE was crying ...

I had a nervous break-down at the 29:30 mark of the last quarter (because I can, I have that right) ... Now I am contemplating NOT having that heart attack that so succinctly manifested itself when Davis kicked THAT goal ...

I'm having a beer ... cheers ... see y'all next week at the MCG !!!

There were about 17 times, including:

3rd quarter and schneiders dead set miss under no pressure (2 times might i add)

4th Bolton running into open goal yet not adjusting enough.

4th CRITICAL Barry Hall with the near one hander. Would have one us the preliminary final in mental momentum if he kicked it.

But seriously with davis kicking it with 5 seconds left, the heavans drove us home. It was always meant to be.

It's hard to cry for wins as I get the fists pumping, but I'm a softie when it comes to finals and we loose one and the ducts open up.

Not meant to be a negative ... I cried when Lockett kicked the point in '96 ( I was 37 at the time, grown man indeed) ... I will shed a tear (again) next week when we take care of the Saints ...

And my family no longer tell me to grow up ... THAT line has passed its use by date - My family just get out of the way when the boys are playing - I couldn't care less if the house burned down, providing the TV stayed on !!!
