Just watched the last 5 mins again. Davis was the only one that was moving at the ball up and he knew where ball was going to lay it off. Every other player from both teams were prettty much stationary.

Also, noticed the amount of two fisted punches, Ablett used it a number of times as the third up ruckman. Mathews used it when the ball came down to the Cats HF line, pumped the ball back to an attacking position.

Also while Davis was the hero, Kudos have to go to the rest of the team who kept getting the ball back into the F50.

Looks as if it is a bit of a set play. Ablett has done it a bit all year, and other than him and Mathews, Leo produced one late in the game too.

Same - I thought it had missed until I saw the Geelong players' shoulders drop.

Barry's punch forward in the last minute from a throw-in on the members' side was excellent.

The guys worked hard to get the ball back in, but were certainly helped by Geelong's inability to get the ball, or their feet, moving. Again an example of the danger with stacking your backline - it will keep coming back.

Buchanan was really good in the last quarter as was Kirk - they were the two key ones, with cameos from others.

Buchanans one handed pickup on the HB line at speed was excellent, but the HB to Mathews put him under pressure, but luckily escaped with a free for a high tackle.

Leo also makes an impressive rugby diving tackle in the last 5 mins, in the F50.

I've now watched that last quarter three times Nick's goal from the mark was actually quite a good team effort coming out of half-back. I'd like to think they'll carry that sort of form into Friday night.

I really like their never-say-die attitude in that last quarter.

Horribly, frighteningly ineffective in that instance!

Question needs to be asked - "Is Luke Ablett our Wayne Harms?"

Guess we'll know in a couple of weeks but it was an inspirational moment.
