My opinion on McLaren:

My favourite is how he regularly points in one direction and then suddenly the other arm goes up. Its like a random event for him:

He accidentally blows the whistle and goes "Oh Crap! Quick point in one direction... No you idiot arm! the other direction! There, no one noticed. Phew!"

Here are my thoughts on the Umpires:

Brett Allen has aged so much.

Scott McLaren looks hideous. Something must've went wrong at birth.

The Daz Meister is hot.

Seriously, I'm not even concerned this lot will look on RWO because I reckon Goldy and co would struggle to hit the net. Probably still hard at work dialing their mobile phones they're that bloody old and irrelevant.

Lou Richards could run out in McLaren's shirt and no one would notice till the eventual stroke at the 15 minute mark.

Life's pretty lonely when you're an Ump and the last thing you want to do is retire without the entire AFL community knowning and hating you.

Last thing you want is a Hayden Kennedy existence. I seriously think Goldy is the Alan McAllister of the Umping world. Swallow that whistle Goldy.

To Scotty Mac, you are Mark Knofler and I hope that insult doesn't offend your extended family you pretzel armed goon!

On a related note, haven't heard anything about the 3/4 time berating Hall gave the umps. This is not allowed anymore under Vlads new regime. I'm not sure what action the AFL can take.

Although I can't lip read that well you can clearly see him scream "9 to 1"!!!!!

A friend of mine mentioned to a certain player today (who shall, of course, remain nameless) the three umpires. His face fell and he said "You are joking!" and walked away.

I just hope this is not indicative of the way the rest of the team will react to the news, otherwise we are gone.

And to think people on Bigfooty still dare to spout the 'one rule for sydney...' line after Hall was cleared... 'Bout time something went our way - this season has featured some of the most biased umpiring I can remember!
