If we win the Grand Final, the "Grand Final positives" thread would probably be longer. But knowing RWO, the "Grand Final Negatives" thread would be almost as long.

can i start the negatives thread now with "ball out for all of next season" ?
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know
If tonight goes according to plan then we'll be praising the tribunal and calling for the heads of the match review panel.

"As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk
50 pages, and 3-4 name changes; its been the Everest of threads on RWO!
Maybe some sort of offical commemoration can take place at evenings conclusion (much like a ritual burning - sacrifice of a few posts) - if this evening does offer a conclusion....
If Hall Gets Off - I hope he doesn't change his style!
Hall played with renewed vigour and class on Friday night against the Saints. That is exactly what is needed in the Grand Final against the West Coast. If he does get off tonight I hope that he doesn't feel compelled to curtail his style - Every successful side usually has an "enforcer" type of player - the beauty about Hall is that he also has class. Barry please don't change your style because of the crap you've gone through this week - and GOOD LUCK TONIGHT!
Interesting read below from Roosy on the AFL website re Hally getting off tonight due to a DVD that was sent to all clubs before the season regarding "behind play" and "in play" reports.
I think the big fella may be safe and the AFL may have egg on there face.....
"And the Swans' trumpcard in proving their case will be the AFL's own pre-season DVD, which was distributed to all clubs showing them what incidents would be deemed behind play and which would be deemed to be in-play under the league's new judiciary system in 2005.
The Swans believe there is an almost identical incident to the Hall-Maguire clash on this tape, in which a forward makes contact to a defender when about to make a lead for the ball which was deemed to be in-play - the same situation the Swans believe Hall was in on Friday night when he struck Maguire to the stomach.
"The AFL sent us a DVD (pre-season) which clearly states what reports were going to be made on and we went back over that," Roos revealed on Tuesday.
"You can never be absolutely confident but we are pretty confident he (Hall) will play on the weekend but all that will pan out tonight."
Well somebody told me, You had a boyfriend, Who looks like a girlfriend,That I had in February of last year, It's not confidential, I've got potential
On the news they just said that Hall was flown down by the Swans on a private jet for the appearance. Rock star.
They showed footage of him in jeans, a polo shirt and a cap. I hope that is not what he opted to wear to the tribunal.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time
Can't remember if I have posted on this thread and don't want to miss out....
Originally posted by Schneiderman Was it really an "injury" anyway? Its not like he suffered broken ribs like Hamill did.
Well according to a rumour in another RWO thread (so it must be true) Maguire does have a broken rib. But the question is did it occur in this incident or a previous one.
Listening to the commentators Maguire was down at least twice before this incident. BBBH must have hit him thrice!

So the St Kilda medical report lied? Thompson said last night on WLF that the report just said he was cleared to play.
