I don't really have anything to add. But I want the next 100 to turn over on this thread. I spoke the Nicky D at training and asked if he was excited or nervous about the game and he said "neither at this stage". No-one mentioned Baz. Schaubs said he was hoping to play - but it seemed like it might have just been a stock response.
Go Baz. The game is all locked up and there's probably just one more scoring shot needed!Comment

By my understanding only the clubs have access to the DVD.
Actually I think the incident shows Rioli whacking a WB forward in their D50 whilst one of the WB ruckman are waiting to kick the ball from the centre square into the arc. He is probably 40-50m from the ball and play is technically stationary, but they are obviously waiting for the kick. Our Greatest Moment:

Hmmm - I just can't wait to be put out of my misery. This wait is a killer and I am getting very nervous. Would hate to be in Baz's shoes right now."As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk

im not sure if this has been posted on the Barrygate but i heard on the radio that benny mathews had the ball when the incident occured and he might be giving evidence - not sure if its true though
also that the swans might get malthouse involved if it goes further as collingwood had a similar case this season with tarrant.
malthouse is behind us 100%Roosy = LEGENDComment

if true, why wasnt this bought forward a few days ago
surely they would have asked all tapes to be looked at regarding the case
i just cant believe this considering the amount of money that AFL generates and how much is at stake

I was actually in the 'pessimists' camp until an hour or two ago.
They would not have posted this article on the official AFL website if they didn't know something. Why on earth would the official AFL site, quote evidence that the AFL's own educational DVD proves that the assessment of the AFL's own match review committee, was wrong? Because they're positioning themselves to gently back down.
Yesterday, before the DVD came to light, even the afl.com.au Blog didn't go further than the bland party-line statement that "Tuesday's hearing [is] about the biggest thing going around."Comment
