Where are you getting your info re Camden Tara?

I can assure you that there has been no request from the cats to drop down.

If the league forces the drop that is a different story, but if the club gets a choice they will stay in Div 2.

A few changes have gone on around the place and having a fairly young team last season, hopefully things will improve at the cats in the future.

Good to hear a positive note coming out of Camden. Plenty of talent down there, no doubt.

However, as Mug Punter stated, if the promotion/relegation is to work and be taken seriously, top team should go up, bottom team down in all grades, with the exception of Prems. A year or two down in D3 with some sustained success could be what your club needs long term.

Not from where you may think Go Cats. Same source that has told me varying things over the years and has usually been on the money, will be interesting to see if their money on a few things are right this year although pretty sure a former blue will be a saint next season.

Yeah like i said Pekay, if the club gets a choice we would like to stay, but we have not got much of an argument to stay as last season was pretty dissapointing for us, so if the league puts us down to div 3 then that would be a fair call.

With a few new commitee members and a change of coach the club is working hard to turn things around.

Is the former blue you mention tara worn the red and white before?

Dropping down isn't the end of the world. It certainly worked for Penrith as it attracted players once a bit of success started happening. Winning a few games / making finals in D3-4 holds a lot more clout with attracting players than being towelled up in a higher division. Penrith, Nor-West and Moorebank have all been there, dropped a division and come back well. With the Cats just winning 3 or 4 games in the last couple of years, I would be asking the league to drop back and not waiting to see what happens. But that's me. Good luck to the Cats whatever they do. They are a pretty good bunch of guys

Word around the Fiddler is that there will be no ECE 3rds next year......how true this is, I know not. Cab rank chat at 0330 is always hard to gauge.

I was told that Eagles will be Neafl, PD, D1 and D3 and 2 U18 teams in 2012 and a couple of other things which Im sure they will announce shortly.

                      Correct: ECE NEAFL, PD, D1, D3, U18s x 2

3rds was up in the air until a commitment came from a meeting of 20+ 3rds players (plus a bunch that couldn't make it).

Why the need for a commitment for a 3rds (Or 4ths as they will be now) Was there a level of discontent from those 'social' footballers?

Spending a few long nights recruiting for players up the road, have we Pekay?

I dunno how I got there, I was just.....there. I hate that place. But it beats the Brewery, that place sucks too.

From the perspective of the club entering a team in a semi-pro comp and now having 6 teams, the resources would be stretched. No discontent from either side, simply that the club needed to know the players would be there for a D3 team and that they could be self-sufficient when required.

Fair call, considering the need for coach and assistant, manager, field and boundary/ies......and that'll be 4th grade, so you'd imagine they'd slot in after Prem 18s, even Challenge 18s for rostered help. Big ask. Will be interesting to see how it's handled externally.
