They do this year. It's the first time they've fielded a thirds team, but it'll be good for them. And I'm hearing around the traps that St George have a very good Premier Division team this year and this is their best chance of a flag for a very long time.

I like St George, they are a good solid district club in the same mould as Pennant Hills whose heart and soul is their juniors.
It is good that they have a thirds and to be honest it is well overdue. There's really no excuse these days, with the juniors coming through for an established club to have less than three and I can see in the future all the strong SFL clubs having at least four senior sides. As well as the development opportunities it also opens up a huge sponsorship, supporter and volunteer base if it can be harnessed properly.
The inclusive club model is definitely the way forward and it is one pioneered by Sydney Uni and I believe it is a critical part of their success as a club.Comment

Your blokes would look good with Clifty tapping, Bartholemaeus racing through the middle, offloads to Declan Donohue who drills it to Gooloogong 20 metres out. ANOTHER SAUSAGE ROLLLLLLLL.........!!!!!!!!!!!!Last edited by justabaraker; 14 March 2016, 04:39 PM.Comment

Wests could be the next club in crisis if this mail is right, Moten inherited an absolute rabble from Super Coach King Kev who looks like he is leaving his usual legacy
It's about this time of year that clearance start to give a good idea of how a club is tracking and for Wests there are NO ins except for some juniors and five out including some senior players. Now, given they were wafer thin anyway that can't be good and the old stalwarts are all getting a year older...
That inner West catchment area is over-serviced by the Unis and Balmain and have poor juniors and a latte set and ethnic demographic...
Would not surprise to see them have the season from hell and drop like a stone like Campbelltown so our 8 team SFL could well be set by default for 2017Comment

Just had done a quick download and filter of the clearances, after first deleting junior upgrades.
Some interesting numbers
Wests - five out, zero in
UTS - five out, FORTY @@@@ING FIVE (45) In
Randwick - four out, 12 in
Penrith - 16 out and five inComment

Of the 5 outs for Wests, 3 did not play last year,Tarran Etto will be a big loss after winning 2015 B&F but looking to test himself in a stronger league and Aidan Bell has work commitments and cannot commit to training, so playing closer to home , played 6 or so in Prems last year and would have been handy this year but i would think work has to come first.Comment
