That was just another unfounded concern from clubs not involved in the NEAFL - we already had our own squad to begin with and barely recruited anyone the first year or so. In any case we farm our recruits out to the Syd AFL clubs now, to the extent that clubs can pick blokes on NEAFL bye weekends and a couple even played them against us in PD. The clubs don't seem to complain when they get access to a NEAFL player or two for nothing every now and again! So it goes both ways I guess.

Anyway, I'm always happy to discuss Uni or answer questions where I can but unfortunately I can't stand idly by while the club gets criticized on the basis of complete untruths!

Seeing as MP knows so much about our footy, I was waiting for him/her to name names to back up those dopey stabs in the dark.
But, of course, he/she hasn't put up the evidence and now we find that he/she's not even involved with North Shore !!

Remember the great blast from a couple of years ago when he/she told us about the 50-60 top-liners from Sydney footy who get cherrypicked each week into the NEAFL teams ? Turned out he/she didn't get out to the local park on a weekend to watch our footy at all !

The internet has a name for people like MP...trolls.

Andrew Browne was a bloody good forward for you blokes back in the early 2000s. Thats about all I'll say about Uni.

I would be really disappointed if that happened to me.
The only thing I would do would be to keep plugging away and wait for the people to change. Also most junior clubs need "something" (varies from club to club) but find out what that some thing and may be that is a way in.

A bit more investigating would tell you that the Parramatta players are actually Camden juniors returning to the local team now that 19's footy is available to them.

Edwins and Boyd are handy recruits.

I dunno if anyone new has shown up, I'm not involved anymore.

I'm too busy in the garden these days. Might have a kick in the magoos for home games. I live 30 minutes the other side of Bensons now so it's almost an away game!

That's a bit sad Pekay. We know that you have had a long and rich involvement with our footy and it's a bit disappointing that it has to end.
Make sure you have one of those kneeling thingys to protect those knees when you are weeding the garden.

The pathway system was introduced to allow for the game in sydney to grow and to reward those clubs who actively worked with their junior clubs on that list. St George were never denied access to any clubs in their region and has access to the following junior clubs Bankstown, Bangor, Miranda, Heathcote, Cronulla, Ramsgate, Penshurst, Liverpool, Holsworthy as did ourselves and Southern power based on the policy in 2012. When it was abolished two years later the list would have been similar but may not have included Holsworthy or Liverpool. As at 2012 though both Penrith and Campbelltown also has Holsworthy and Liverpool on their pathway.
Tara yes this was the case he was not permitted to play under 18's as it was back then. Had to spend a full year back in the south comp to get of the UNSW Pathway. UNSW were willing to let him play at St.George. As St.George were for a player who wanted to Play for UNSW but was tied to St.George. Both clubs wanted the boys to play football where they wanted to play but were prevented.

Since the pathway has ended I have know of parents shopping their sons around who are under 19's for $$$.

Any parent that shops their kid around to the club that pays the most money will kill the kids desire to play AFL. Demir Dokic eat your heart out. The ugly parent. Lunacy!
