Yes, what are they thinking...but wait...his CV on the website doesn't mention what he was doing in 2015.

We were all spending a bit of time with Brian and the rest of the tribunal panel on a Wednesday night with celebrity appearances by players from various clubs.

All the best to Parra, they will be the ones to beat in 2016 in div 1.

Parra need to do something! For a club that represents such a big catchment, the geographical centre of Sydney, well, they've only got a sweet ground to show for it.

Personally for a team that got promoted after not even winning a comp they need to make a move .... Good luck to them it's a bold risk with jarjoura but it might be worth it ...... What is the go with Camden I hear rumours they are going to be in div 1? Surely they are the next possible premier division club they have to be but that can't be anytime soon. Whilst they are in div 2 ....... Would like to know who in div 1 has goals of playing premier division there is clearly one spot there for the taking ?

Balmain obviously but who else ?

Balmain are a long way off Premier Division right now. We don't have enough volunteers, or enough cash or own home ground to be sustainable let alone competitive in Prems.

With Campbelltown out Camden is the logical choice to have a PD team in that area.

Do Southern Power have aspirations of Premier Div?

Speaking of Campbelltown they are the big movers for next year, down to div 5 apparently.

Doubt Southern Power could. Their new ground might help though.

I think it would take a few years for anyone not currently in Premier Division to get themselves into a position to go up. I doubt we'll see any change to the current 9-team comp for several seasons.

Maybe the only chance is if one of the lowly prem teams becomes uncompetitive, and then there would be nothing to lose by dropping them down to regroup, and letting another borderline club step up to take their place.

Roger Moten at Wests for 2016.

Can only be a good thing, surely nobody else will be stupid enough to fall for the Eynaud sales pitch

Pekay is right that Parramatta should be in Prem Div but I agree that nobody is really within cooee if getting promoted. The west of Sydney really is an absolute mess when it comes to AFL innit?

Balmain need to get back to Drummoyne if possible but have really always been an SFA club.

Such is the fragile nature of Sydney AFL UNSW/Easts would only need a winless season and they could become the next basket case.

I think recent history has shown when teams drop out of Prems, their best players just go to existing Prem Div clubs, so it makes the team going down weaker and the rest of the Prem Div clubs stronger. That then makes it even harder for new clubs moving up to be competitive on the field.

Should be a new thread but who do you think will be the big improver's over the next, say 10 years.
                                My "significant" changes will be;

                                * Maroubra - could be Prems with arguable Sydney's best juniors
                                * Camden - could be in Prems - off and onfield everything right
                                * Penrith - Prems, so much going for them
                                * St George (Div 1) / Southern Power (Prems) swap due no Powers new ground
                                * Magic Div 4 or folded. Only strong now because of Ex Baulko, Penno Juniors with AFL staff. P.S. I actually think Magic are a great club, but cant see a future for them in 10 years.
