First post from me and love the chat.
There are already some good players at Wests, so a few good ins should make them pretty competitive.
UNSW/ES have got a number of talented kids who will improve and the changes to the rules around players who don't make the NEAFL list will boost Sydney Uni.
Jai Lyons will be a loss for UTS, so it'll be interesting to see what they do to cover.
Overall - expecting the comp to tighten up.
East Coast and St George should still be the bench mark though.
We'll have 5 or 6 kids going up to the NEAFL/VFL/SANFL, but there are a few good ins too and plenty of opportunity for the kids coming through. Good vibe building so hopefully we'll be there abouts - can't wait!!Comment

REDLAND BOMBERS
Major Ins: Boyd Bailey (Frankston VFL); Clay Cameron (Gold Coast Suns); Soul Cormick (Lions Reserves/Sandgate); Jai Lyons (UTS Bats); Sam Michael (Essendon); Stephen Mills (Perth WAFL); Jackson Paine (Brisbane Lions); Jack Rolls (Lions Academy/Morningside).
Love ya work Bomber - you'll be an asset to us here !Comment

I see where Jason Fleming has also left UTS. We saw him play twice last year and he seemed to have lost a bit from the Campbelltown days. But UTS used as an off-the-bench-impact-player and he went ok doing that.Comment

Have to disagree with you Justa. He was a very good player with Ainslie and in fact he was always in our planning playing against them because if you didn't pay him any attention he would be very dangerous. He would easily kick a few goals against you off HBF or a Wing if you didn't watch him closely It was the same when he went to UTS. He may have stood out more at Ainslie in a better team though. At UTS he seemed to be thrown around a fair bit to plug gaps.Comment

I'm just going by the SFL CLEARANCES list, and that says he has gone to Canberra. Tim F tells us that he was in Canberra previously and I didn't know that, so it makes sense that he might go back there.
Tim, perhaps he was thrown around to fill gaps and that's sort of what I meant. But I think we agree that he wasn't so effective as he has been in the past.
Still, a talent lost to Sydney footy.
If we're lucky then the INBOUNDs to Wests will help boost the talent pool...who knows, we might even beat AFL Canberra this year...lol !Comment

Gone back to Canberra for partner/family reasons I think.Comment
