Another senior player off to Parra....wouldn't want to be their ressies cattle if their ones disappear, Div 1 will be competitive enough

Pretty impressive effort to see UNSW and North Adelaide putting a trial together - not sure a step up to this calibre has been done for a while, not since the ill-fated but very watchable Foxtel Cup!

Parra looks like they are having a real crack at Platinum this year.
How good if they could continue this and end up being a Premier Div club. What a great situation if SWS and Parra were in Prems one day.

Yes Tom, it would be fantastic...strong presence in the outer 'burbs would have to be good for footy.
The Goannas used to be a powerhouse in Sydney football but they somehow lost their way at about the time that 'Big Brother' from down south rolled into town and took control of the levers.
That's all sad history now but there are many of us who would be rapt to see The Goannas back where they belong.

They’re active with their social media in promoting their signings. Time will tell if that translates to onfield success.

Rumours are that Southern Power are in decent strife. Significant number of players leaving, particularly the women’s squad. None of the men’s team have coaches sorted either.

Just checked their socials, looks well run and informative over the off season. Wasn't aware of the merger for WPD, interested to see how they go after some dominance in WD1 over last few years.

Parramatta were a victim of mismanagement and the influence of a certain clan family who shall not be named did not help their cause.

It’s ridiculous we don’t have a senior club at Prems level west of Ashfield. Parramatta would appear to be the logical club to take the Western Sydney area on but it will need juniors and money as well as high level support

Why are they the logical choice? I'd think not having an under 19's would rule them out straight away?

                          What needing financial assistance doesn't?.

You know there's another club in Sydney's west that has engaged their juniors, have two of the best afl facilities around and also have their finances sorted so wouldn't need a handout who could step up.

They also have a history of representing the West longer than any other club in Sydney. Might have taken a while to come back together but have now for the right reasons.

They also won Platinum and were runner up in Platinum Reserves i believe despite Womblings prediction that they would run Mid table at best
