Unfortunately the Women's competitions have become even more of a problem than the men's divisions. After 5 games Southern Power Prems have scored a total of 22points whilst having 680 points scored against them.
There are many more inequitable results each week.
As Bob Dylan famously sang "The answer, my friend, is blowing in the wind"

Alternatively, follow the junior leagues and for the lower divisions have the first 3 or 4 rounds as grading rounds and then redo the fixture for the lower Divisions. Either way, the lower divisions need to have some intelligent planning to ensure we don't have teams winning by 100 or losing by a 100 all season.
That intelligent planning could apply to the Prem Div comps as well. No shortage of 100 point wins in Prems or reserves.

The solution for Prem Div is ridiculously obvious. Although apparently not obvious to the AFL.

Whatever the solution is for Div grades, it’s unlikely to involve NS fielding two teams in the same division. Just doesn’t work.

Does all show that equalisation isn’t as simple as a points system or bumping teams up or down based on last years performance.

If it is ridiculously obvious could you please share with us what the solution is?

            Maybe not that ridiculously obvious?

Southern Power Women’s Prems forfeiting this afternoon. With the TV game too. Never happened in a Premier Division competition, wonder if the league will remove them for the rest of the season?

The only other Premier Division forfeit I can remember was the Balmain walkout, and that was 10 years ago in very different circumstances.

I don't think the league would want to remove them mid-season. But if they can't field a team, it's deeply concerning.

East Coast beat UTS in both Prems and Ressies, their first win in either grade for 18 months.
                  Must be tough.

You would think AFL Sydney would be trying to promote this game a bit? Looking at it on PlayHQ and it’s two undefeated sides, almost halfway through the season, vying for top spot. Not sure there has been a scenario like this in a long time. This is as a big a game outside of Prems you’ll ever get. Especially when it seems to be a team of local players vs a team full of blokes travelling for coin. The story line is right there for them too.

Yeah lets get AFL SYdney to promote a standard "Bush footy at its best"

Speaking standards - Given East Coast show cause (Served) notice this year, its taking a while for the stalk to fly into the BATS Zone all the way from Moore Park after last weeks results.

What an absolute joke the standards of AFL SYdney competition.

Out of respect to Brendan and Angie, I will refrain from from a club response but I will say Wynny, you would do well focussing on your role within your own club and doing that well rather than posting tripe/hearsay about UNSW. Given all that you are hearing and are so socially connected, I might remind you of the club hosting standard post round 2 when the 30 odd UNSW players buying and having a beer by themselves in that wonderful Brendan Odonoghue Facility.

It may pay you to be focussing your efforts internally rather than worrying about these forums and if you have something to say, then please do to me in September, assuming your participating.

HAHAHAHAHA a whole 5 guys played Seniors last week for SWS that have come to the club the last 2 years(4 this year)that travel to play, hardly equates to a whole team travelling for coin. I'm sure if you look at Camden's team you will see a few "Imports" also like every other club around too. If clubs are not topping up their lists with good quality players/people that can take their club to a better place then they aren't doing a good job. Like I've said many times here if you believe everything you hear from people that have no idea, who's the fool????
