It'll be interesting to see how the events of the last week will affect St George - often after a coach goes the team rallies and can cause an upset win. I'll be heading out to the Village Green on Saturday to have a look at that one - I'll stick with UNSW-ES, who I gave the kiss of death to in my column; but I'd give St George a chance here.

as per usual with tipping comps,i'm the "anchor" that holds the bottom of the ladder-at least i'm consistent!!this week i'll take St George at Village Green to bounce back after a tough week and get their season back on track(UNSWES rep players may be carrying some niggles)and NorWest Jets over Whales in the curtain raiser(10am start for those with insomnia).i'm certain there's some info that Norris is hiding in regards to the North-Penno game,but i'll take the Dees,with another big game from former Jet, Snowy.had Balmain been more convincing in their win over Town,i would consider picking them,but 8 pts is hardly a confidence booster going into this game,Eagles with something to prove,by a big margin.(and hopefully this week sees the return of Fraser Thomson to 1st grade,after 9 goals in the magoos) and Wests to scrape home against the Lions at Dalton,and i reckon Gong will lead for most of the day in that one...Oscar,will the Crows recruits be available this week,and if so,will they be considered for selection?

Pekay - UNSW-ES only had Luffy in the rep side, but a few pulled out of the squad due to injuries, so may not be up for this week. However, given the turmoil at St George, I'll stick with the Dogs.

East Coast to bounce back and smash Balmain. The Dogs were very lucky to hold on for a win against the Eagles last week after being about 5 goals up with 5 mins to go and only fall over the line by 4 points!

Although the Lions are hard to beat at home, I think Wests will be far too strong. There is a lot of quality in their team and I think the Lions may be playing above themselves thus far.

Pekay, whats this about Fraser in the 2s??? I cannot think of a reason not to slot him straight back into 1s other than for disciplinary issues(which I assume not). Can you enlighten me on this one? Considering the Tigers form this year it seems a little odd.
