You COULD download it, but then again you would have to:
1) Find it. This depends on having enough people on the p2p networks willing to host and share an 8 GB file, which is unlikely, or find it on a website willing to host an 8 GB file, also rather unlikely.
2) Download it. At an "average" broadband speed of 512kbps, assuming you achieve the full speed (this is directly linked to the number of people sharing on p2p, or bandwidth of server, as above), a full DVD image would take 34 hours or so. God help you if you have download limits, or throttling.
3) Burn it. You'll need a dual layer burner and a dual layer disc, which would be about $6-7
So not really worth the trouble, IMO. I'll wear the $30 cost
Plus of course, downloading pirated DVDs is A Bad Thing, and less money goes to the club.
