I doubt Demspter will make the round 1 team. He is still listed as one week for tweaking his hamstring. Considering this is the first occurence I would suggest that they would be going super easy on him.

            Rnd 1:

            B: C Bolton Vogels Crouch
            HB: Barry LRT Mathews
            C: Williams Goodes Ablett
            HF: ROK Richards Schneider
            F: N Davis Hall Buchanan

            R: Jolly Kirk J Bolton

I/C from: Doyle Dempster Malceski Mcveigh Moore Chambers

If, and its a huge 'IF' at this point, Vogels can hold down FB that could free leaping up to come into the HB line. Allowing him a bit more scope to run carry and create (as is already his forte). Also, If, and its a medium sized 'IF' at this point, Richards can present well amd perform at CHF, then BBB could stay a little closer to home (Coleman?). And as i've said elsewhere on this site, i think you need Goodes to be in the middle.

You are taking a bit of license there Hammo. He played him there when had a gammy knee.

When we got done against StKilda all and sundry on this site got into him because he got beaten on the night yet was one of our best.

You know, there is a way Goodes could run far and wide, whilst simultaneously holding down a key-position (by my definition).

It's funny, I'm so used to seeing Schneiderman on the I/C line up.
                  Not that i'm complaining

                  As for the DoyleVSChambers deal..
from what i've seen of preseason, I'd put it down to Jolly rancher/Chambers.
Don't get me wrong, oh i so wanted to see Doyle do something effective.. damn you boy.

Fozzie goes from one of our best in the grand final to an emergency??

I think Malceski will need to show a lot more to displace Fosdike.

Yes it has all three talls playing, but if there is one area Essendon (and Richmond) get us every time is in height.

Chambo, Eski or Moorey is really a toss up on whether they want the extra tall, Doyle, so he can play some forward line and possibly decide who they want longer term as second ruck.
