Why should McVeigh be dropped? He has been one of our better performers in the last two weeks.

Of course he has, but as we all know Roosy will axe a McVeigh before he'll axe a Mathews or a Williams. Form doesn't come into it as much as we would like to think.
        Once was, now elsewhere

That's where it's ridiculous. McVeigh has just played the best two games of his short career. Williams is bordering on finished, whilst Mathews is a liability. The rest of them will be fine in time.

            Fosdike - what the?

has been in our best 2 -3 in the first 2 games.

Why would you drop Fosdike ahead of others??

A 30 something hasbeen champion Williams on one leg defecates on McVeigh a 20 something neverwillbe.

We should have traded McVeigh to Essendon last year, where he may have learnt something from his brother who is a much better player.

I would much rather see Malceski in the team or Moore or Schmidt.

Having said that, I think McVeigh should stay in the team for the first half of the year, and be given a good amount of game time to prove beyond doubt that he does not have the necessary strength or skills to make it as an AFL level player.

Hardly a fair comparison. McVeigh is an improving youngster playing off the bench, while Willo has been a star for years who is struggling at the moment.

                          Stats aren't everything.

They are all struggling at present - or were so far (to change during the Easter resurrection?).

But I remember how much the team struggled immediately after Willo was injured last year. He remains a vital part of our engine room.
