McVeigh's weight isn't really much of an excuse when you consider how well Dale Thomas of Collingwood is playing, and he's 183, 75 cf McVeigh's 184,80.

    Also, when comparing size, Buchanan is 180,80, J Bolton is 182, 83, Crouch 174, 78, Fosdike 179,78, Kirk 184, 80, Mathews 182, 84, Schneider 175, 78, and Williams 176, 81.

So size isn't really an excuse for McVeigh.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

So you are saying Size doesn't matter?

I think the point was that it's not an "excuse". Of course size matters (just ask 99).

I was thinking the same thing - but on reflection, White must have been totally spent by then, so I guess it doesn't really count. But if he wants to prove a point, this week is the perfect time...

For so many reasons (we need it, old club, Geelong short of rucks).

Chambers starting to find the ball a bit more..maybe Roos does see earlier than most what value some of these guys can be.

I think the jury is still out on this.

My kid asked who's that, when they did a close up on Chambers.
Her reply after I told here who it was --> they shouldn't do close up on him.

But I think I'll squeeze onto the back of the eski wagon after yesterday. A couple of clangers that were far out wayed by his powerful kicking. Including the quick kick out of the centre square that resulted in a goal, to get us back on track.

It's nice to get a few players into the team, who have the capacity to kick very long, and to do it like eski with precision and speed through the air is really good.

My dad, always the master of understatement, summed it up well when he said to me on the phone, "That young fellow Malceski seemed to get the ball a bit." Good game by the young fella. I know the Lions are struggling, but I think that game may have been good for a few of our younger guys who have been struggling a little this year, or are just trying to make their mark. I hop we/they can do it again next week.

Special mention to McVeigh for his 50+metre set shot. Dempster & Ablett's long kikcing I knew about but McVeigh's goal surprised me.

Another impressive game by Malceski. His 3rd goal was impressive, off one step and straight through.

I am well and truely on this bandwagon. That snap goal showed he has brilliant goal sense. This boy will go a long way with the Swans.

a very handy addition to the 2006 side - and that was a very nice goal indeed

Quite simply he belongs...he is a blood.
                              Matthews becomes his understudy.

Or a long way towards getting Everitt to the Swans
