But you can only argue your point for so long. Whether anyone will listen or is actually interested enough to really listen is another thing entirely.

We have unreserved tickets and usually sit in Bay 17. We're always rowdy, sing stupid tunes and make fools of ourselves, but theres only so much noise two girls can make! We got invited to come sit with the CS at half time, but no beer meant no-go!!

I think your idea is good JF, but obviously the club has some responsibility for the behaviour of the official CS and the addition of alcohol always adds that elemant of uncertainty.

Aparft from filling up the next bay with red hats, there appears to be little purpose & more succinctly little long term gain in having these people there, apart from maybe merchandise sales.
What's wrong with "international guests" (and what does this mean BTW?) sitting and watching a game?

Not sure if it is a traditional thing with the CS that they sit behind the goals but where else could they move without having to re-arrange members seating, etc.
Yes it is tradition to have the CS behind the goals, it adds colour to the TV coverage, and supposedly they can put off the opposition when they have a set shot at goal. In the 70's Melbourne used to sit in the Southern stand at the MCG, but it was pretty crap. I reckon the CS should be moved to the other end and let the visitiors CS be behind the goals in the sun.

I agree. Plus I might join if it was at the other end.

I still think that there could just be two swans cheersquads though. Put off the visitors at both ends if that works.

Once again you have posted something you know NOTHING about Tuesday. Those visitors are NOT Irish, they are Americans, English, from all over the shop. Heaven forbid if you ever sat there, the collective IQ would sink to record lows. I swear, you seriously have NO idea at times!

Now that I have gotten that out of the way, I saw a group of about 8 people walk past me all wearing Country Kerry gaelic football strips.

Because they do nothing to help the atmosphere at the ground NMW?

To be honest we'd be better served having Ticketek reserved seating ticketholders than the international guests.

In either way it does NOT solve the solution of empty seats in the Cheer Squad, even if the sea of red hat DOES give the impression of things being fuller than they actually are.

C'mon guys, keep the personal baiting, sniping and general antagonism out of it.

                          That is all.

Where will you be sitting at Homebush? If we can get alot of louder types seated behind the Cheer Squad that will help enormously.

One song I'd LOVE to get going at Homebush is "STAND UP FOR THE PREMIERS" ('Go West' tune). It would be awesome if we could manage to get the whole of bay 117 up standing and clapping.

What about just a simple "Ole Ole Ole Ole SYD-NEE SYD-NEE!". Would people seriusly join in on that? Or would they look at me with a mixture of annoyance & derision at conversations now broken.

I'd love to start upteen other songs that we know, but tend to get told off every time I started them up.

PS:- Erko, meet up at a pub in the area for a bevvie?
