Reserves v Weston Creek - Rescheduled

Seems that, because Telstra stadium can't look after their grass, the reseves match has been rescheduled. Which is a bugger, because i was looking forward to get to Telstra at about 1/2 past 3 and enjoying 2 games of footy. So a warning to any others that were thinking of doing the same, might as well spend the time in the pub. If anyone knows where/when the fixture will be played, please let us know. Thanks

Bugger. I always love to get there early to watch how the blonde brigade are going. Cheers for the heads up.

Wow, they are worried about the playing surface and they have the Reggies playing there!!! Has anyone seen the divets where the futbol goals are. I hope they pack those with lots and lots of sand, as they are an ankle injury just waiting to happen.

I think they're more worried about the grass than the reserves.

Shame about the change of venue, I was looking forward to this game.

              Yup,

I'm pretty sure Henson Park is avail (no Jets and Premier League games are on Sunday).
Would've been a better option than Lakeside.

Didn't we lose some players there in preseason training last year or the year before? The SCG was unavailable so they were falling down rabbit holes at Lakeside? Imagine if one of the players that may step up - Spriggs, Willoughby etc was injured tomorrow. (Or if any of the seniors are injured on loose turf at Telstra.)

Lakeside actually looks in pretty good condition and has been for a couple of years now

Might have a look at the game before I head to Telstra. Wonder if your allowed on the field during the breaks. Be interesting to listen in on the 1/4 time address.

Swans site tonight says Bevan will play:

The Sydney Swans Reserves game against Weston Creek has been moved from Telstra Stadium to Lakeside Oval (opposite the SCG on Driver Ave).

The game will now be played at 1pm.

The Reserves will be bolstered this weekend by the return of premiership player Paul Bevan, who suffered a hamstring injury during the pre-season.
