Will Mooney be charged with striking Jude Bolton? After all Hall got reported for the same thing, and it is on video.

Will Chapmen be reported for striking Leo Barry? The umpire said it was an accident, but it was a clenched fist to the face, it should be reported.

Or will we see the hypocrisy of the match review committee again?

When MOL or BBH get a set kick from outside 50 they should kick to the top of the square. They simply stuff it up when trying to go short.

Dont know if the opposition is forcing our fowards to lead into the pockets or if its an instruction to lead there to ensure a one-on-one contest and, thus, a better chance at marking and having a shot?

No accident about that one. If it was an open hand yes, but that looked very ordinary with a clenched fist. He might get off if it is deemed a "reflex action".

On Geelong, Mooney is a very good player. Much talented than his brother.

          Barry gave Scarlett a towelling.

O'Keefe looked to use the ball much better tonight, although he did play on both sides of the ground. Not sure how tired he should be though - he only had 12 possessions.

Scarlett looked slow. Consistently gave Hall a metre or two.

Seem to play a better style tonight.

                Kicked to contests.
                Head over the ball.
                Looked fwd more the backward.
                Good tough footy.

Poor kicking kept Geelong in the game.

                Ottens mark was a ripper.

Skills were ordinary but it was good to see a fairly open game and goals being kicked, rather than the ugly scrappy affair that I expected. We really do play better when we go forward.

We seemed to enjoy the bigger spaces. Hardly any of that chipping the ball backwards stuff. Ottens's mark was fantastic but it was practically the only thing he did all game. Gary Ablett was unbelievable, it was amazing watching him evade players time and again.

From our team, Micky O was sensational and his work off the ball was very noticeable. ROK must have been reading RWO in the past week because he was sensational, especially in the first half. Jude was the best for us in the middle, despite some poor kicking.

Oh yeah and Teddy was very poor tonight. He'd probably make a good 3rd defender (another one!) but was outpointed by Mooney easily.

Jude must have read my post about turning up at 3Q time.

Was at it right from the start.

It is so noticeable how our fitness is starting to kick in. They seem so much stronger at the ball and cleaner with their hands.

                        Fitness up = skills up.

Roos did say we were 4 weeks behind.

Everyone was beaten by Mooney. I think Barry beat him in only one contest. If Geelong had been able to deliver the ball to him he would have kicked 10 goals. As it was he kicked 3 and gave 3 away.

Bit tough on Richards. They only had a total of 20 scoring shots. As NMW said Mooney beat everyone. I would have kept LRT on him.
                            Height was Mooney's asset.

LRT would have got lost. Fair dinkum, that goal he let through is symtomatic of his whole game - no idea where he is meant ot be and what he is meant to be doing. So often looking around for his man it is frightening.

On the plus side, a much better effort. There was a lot more love in the air tonight, running over and patting blokes on the head for a smother, little cuddles after tackles etc etc. Looked a lot more like a team tonight.

                                A few negatives:
                                Mathews: too slow
McVeigh: needs to work on kicking for goal
                                Williams: turning into Maxfield

                                A few positives:
Unco: made some contact with the leather
ROK: managed to kick to Swans advantage
