    'Ugly' Lewis a true Swan

Funny how outside commentators have a different view from the RWO experts

"For Roberts-Thomson, having played the finest game of his career in the grand final against West Coast in which he was best on ground in the first half, remains a source of confidence."

BOG? I wonder why anyone would vote for him . . .

"Take last Sunday against Brisbane: Any of his gliches in general play were overridden by the fact he prevented the Lions obvious matchwinner, Jonathan Brown, from having an impact."

And he practices againt Baz. Time for the LRT-Richo battle of the gorillas!

And that would free Leo up to have a bit more run.

He should have won the Norm Smith medal! Hands down.

I'll be happy with LRT on Richo, or bolts. But please, let's not have Leo on him first off and wait until 4 or 5 goals have been kicked against him before making the switch!

            Agreed.

Although I think Hansen did get a kick after half time. But maybe that was when LRT was manning up on Gardiner.

FWIW, Judd does quite a few clangers for such a great player. Duffs a few kicks.

Yes, his percentage of poor kicks is probably higher than most other elite players, however his proportion of possessions that make something positive happen are also far higher. He gets very few cheap possessions. Not many players in the competition regularly get 8+ clearances in a game.

LRT's contested marks during the GF, far outway handballs and kicks in my opinion.

Yes, one (semi) contested mark outweighs any number of possessions, sure... why not... pass the chardonnay...

Was the 1 contested mark according to official stats or your own eyes? My memory is fading but I thought i recalled more than 1.

Stats I have give him zero.

I just remember him taking one on the Great Southern Stand side, Punt Rd end, falling back. However, it's arguable whether that was a contested mark as it went over the head of his opponent.

He also took another on the opposite flank, Punt Rd end, behind Gardiner, but as I recall that also went over the WC player's head.
