Hayward kicked 38 goals in the H & A and got 2 votes. And then we had Cripps on TV yesterday saying he thought he might get 40 votes before the count.
The fact that a normally sane person thinks they might get that many votes just shows just how silly the Brownlow counting has become.
Imagine if Paul Kelly had said in 1995 (when he won with 21) had said "I thought I might have got 40 votes". Surely the AFL realizes just how loopy the
Brownlow has become.
