Could end up being another difficult match to watch, but I've quite liked Dattoli so far. He can find a bit of space in traffic and seems to be a good kick at goal.
Good contest so far, Swans are showing plenty of fight, but Melb are very well drilled and have quality talls. Dattoli and Hanily are working well together.
Sorta nice to win the quarter by 5 points. At least we've been competitive. Handy quarter from Hanily with three goals. Florent and Cunningham have had a fair bit of the ball, but both have turned it over a few times. Shipley is doing his usual leading by example thing. The fact that Podmore-Taylor and Ryan have been playing as key defenders, probably emphasises how much our tall stocks have been reduced; since respectively, they spent their academy time playing as a ruck/forward and a forward/ruck.
And I wish the broadcasters would fix the sound mismatch, where the ground effects are about half a second ahead of the picture.
Some good moments in this game that’s about it and Ollie seems to one of those players that play samilair level regardless of what level they play at.
Why do I watch this crap each week lol can’t say anyone is screaming pick me
Certainly been a very frustrating year as ressie watchers. Kinda odd how every game seems the same - competitive for a half and then completely blown out the water in the second

I dont know if its a fitness thing or something else but the lack of fight and pride they show is disturbing. Come on McVeigh do the right thing and resign.
I think we need some new coaching blood from outside Sydney. I guess the soft cap doesnt help but look who our coaches are - all 'inbred'. We need at least 2 from other clubs. I don't think anyone - bar 30 minutes from Dattoli - looked a future player.
The side for the match against Richmond at 11.05am tomorrow. Fox makes his return, and personally, I expect Cleary to pick up a heap of possessions playing midfield.

Hopefully Richmond had the wind advantage in that quarter, but I suspect that it was more of a crosswind. Our forward 50 entries were aimless. Shipley, Kirk, Green and Mitchell were pretty good. Snell looked like he spent a bit of time on the wing and did pretty well.
There really is no aspect of football in which our VFL side approaches competence. Never have anyone in space. Can't close down opponents running into space. Outnumbered at any contest. Can't target a player in the forward line. Can't do anything other than rushed, hacked kicks. On the rare occasions they have a semi-unpressured kick, invariably miss the target. Can't take contested marks. Can barely tackle.
I guess the intensity was somewhat better in that second quarter. In particular, the forward line did OK at keeping the ball up there once we finally managed to get it in.
Scoreboard flatters us somewhat, given it is boosted by the second goal to Lloyd and a freakish (fluke?) from Dattoli. But certainly it looks more respectable.
