Fairly uninspiring quarter. What with the very strong wind, a bit of rain and perhaps some overconfidence. I liked Green in the middle and he now seems to be a reliable set shot. Adams has got plenty of clearances. Mitchell, Bice and Roberts have been useful rebounding.

A bit scrappy. Will Green has made really solid improvements in his all round game compared to early in the year. Strong defensive mark backing into a pack there.

I suspect they gave us a goal that should have went to Essendon. Commentators haven't cottoned on.

Summed it up correctly. Good 1st quarter but pretty ordinary after that. Adams was good but no one else stood out.

Yeah Adams was very busy, loves a contest and has excellent hands, but kicking still hit or miss. And gave away heaps of frees.
Fox, Roberts and Francis were also solid, with Green and Snell the pick of the youngsters.

The team for our final VFL match of the year. Which is against Geelong and takes place at 11.35am on Sunday at Tramway. The side might be reasonably confident, after three wins in a row, but Geelong are almost injury free and have a strong advantage in AFL listed players. Ladhams being promoted and Shipley being out injured doesn't help. Plus we seem a bit light on for talls. Academy prospect, Chamberlain, gets another chance to impress. As does overage academy player, Andreacchio, who was flying in the Talent League, before picking up an injury.

Forget to mention that Snell is also injured. So I'm not sure if we have a genuine key defender?

Geelong's team still not finalized, but they could pick up to 19 AFL listed players. With only three players over 190cm we will be up against it. Still, will be good to see Chamberlain again.

Looks like the umpires have decided that the huge advantage in AFL listed players isn't enough for Geelong and that they need some extra assistance, with an 11-4 free kick count at quarter time.

Yes - it does feel that way! The extra height Geelong have all over the ground is helping as well.
