Great news on Errol and Paps- can’t wait to get them back and very healthy! On the other hand, not unexpected news on Logan with most likely 12 weeks rather than 8. If we take the middle figure of 10 weeks, that will mean around mid August. May as well rest him for the rest of the year and hopefully fully ready for 2026.

It feels like a small victory, that we seem to have gotten through the weekend without any new injuries or suspensions. Of course, having typed that, I now feel that I've somehow increased the odds, of one our players being injured, through falling out of bed, or being careless with knives in the kitchen, or playing fetch with the dog, or running with children in the park, etc.Comment

We're certainly going to be challenged for height for the rest of the year, and particularly this weekend with HMac out and TMac possibly still out. And you can add Riak to the "season over" list too.
I'm not sure that his form quite warrants it, but is there any way Snell can be not selected this weekend? I guess they could bring Ladhams in to partner Buller in the forward line, and Francis to take Hamling's spot. But it would be good to take a look at Snell at senior level.Comment

With our finals hopes ending, McDonald has gone from 1-2 weeks to season.

Amartey
Edwards
Hamling
McDonald
McLean has a concussion which will be monitored.
Who is available this week and realistically could play? By the way why not be tempted to play young blokes. I
mean, get Cleary and Florent into the mids. Bring in Datoli. Snell for a first up too.
Rest Ramps as his career is over and he is not a part of the future.
Lose Francis
I am loathe to ruck Green at AFL level but maybe he would be ok in the forward line as a Forward ruck. But as I say, he has not developed as yet and his last outing as First ruck he only managed 18 HO, to his opponent's 43. What we could do with Green is let hime take all the forward HO and Grundy cover the rest. This worked well for several teams some time ago and the Forward/Ruck was especially trained for this role and developed the ability to HO to smalls on trhe move or grab and kick. Tom Hawkins comes to mind and Jesse Hogan some years ago.
Let's look at playing youth though. Bowman seems to be doing well down back.
Leidler doesn't seem to have prospered, although he kicked 1.1 last week.
The Academy Boys are distinguishing themselves. Next year will hopefully be much better than this if we draft well. Most of the academy boys playing reserves look ready to go and not out of place in the company of men. But that doesn't help until next year.Comment
