General footy chat Round 15: the other games.

A couple of the games stand out, while the others, like tonight's Fremantle v Essendon VFL, look like being one sided. Tomorrow's clash between Geelong and Brisbane, could easily be a grand final preview. Even if Collingwood are currently premiership favourites.

The other match that appeals to me, is GWS v Gold Coast. Seems an important test for the Suns, if they want to stamp themselves as genuine finals contenders.

Lions playing very well. They have all the answers at the moment.

I'm enjoying watching Geelong spray gettable shot after gettable shot. Then enjoying it even more when Brisbane rebound that miss, into a goal at the other end.

Need to update my previous evaluation of the game. Brisbane now absolutely smashing the Cats!

Three out of the four Geelong goals, have largely been the result of soft 50s.

The Lions carried out Fagans game plan (take it on)
to perfection . When they are at their best and not
playing The Swans, its a buzz to watch them .

Yes, and they're likely to very good for quite a while, as the father son rule has been a great assistance to them; with the Ashcrofts and Fletcher. They've also seem to have struck a jackpot with Logan Morris. I thought he was very impressive leading their forward line last night, when Hipwood, Cameron and Day, weren't doing much of use. He's likely to be the best draft pick in the early 30s since Errol Gulden.

They certainly were great to watch! I hate to say it but Collingwood is also a very entertaining team to watch. Another Brisbane/Pies Grand Final would be a cracker!

He’s a beauty isn’t he. And yes, for all the bleating about northern academies (and they do have another top five pick coming their way this year), it’s more been father son that has given them the chance to regenerate whilst in a flag window.

Yes, their ball movement through the corridor last night was just incredible. So quick, you can tell that they know where teammates are going to be almost without even looking.

They also showed that sustained pressure can break even the most composed and experienced teams - Cats were reduced to fumbling and spraying shots on goal.

I reckon a few teams - including the Swans - could learn from the highlight reel of that game.

Norf are currently doing a number on Carlton. Let’s hope they polish it off as it’s very enjoyable. Confirms my view about both lists - Norf as destined to get better soon enough, and Carlton a club that has seriously overrated their own.

Yes, I only just noticed that score. Pretty amusing. Carlton Bigfooty board might be worth a read.

Hate Norf. Their fans are surly, sulky and aggressive and the way they treated Goodesy was putrid.
The upside of a Norf win, of course is that Carlton will now tear itself apart and that will be great fun to watch!

The only thing that has ever made me contemplate living in Melbourne is the joy of listening to talkback after Carlton fans realise they are a crap team after all.
