Agree with RowithI think he is capable, let him chase it, because if he genuinely isn't good enough to get it over 20x as a mid after 130 games, may as well move him on
Last night Rowy had 9 tackles, last week it was 15. 6 against Freo. He does a lot right. I'll make a point of seeing next week if he is getting to stoppages around the ground.

Need him getting the ball not tackling the person with it, like saying he doesn't take many marks but he spoils heaps.

I'm not writing him off, I believe he is capable. I put it on the coaches, we can't be happy to have a mid with his output or more the point his role. Had 1 score involvement last night

JJ is enough for a defensive role

Yes, he was very good until he got injured. Was doing a great job on containing Hogan. From that point on we only had one genuine tall (melican) on the backline

          Mclean as a 2nd Ruck

Francis and Hamling, should have only be played as break glass

Playing Defensive full fwds, don't think it will catch on

Not playing enough talls fwd, therefore no bail outdown the line, making us look for targets that arent there in the middle of the ground

Too focused on shutting down the opposition instead of backing in your team to go head to head

Playing kids from the 2s and not letting them play, Horse style, may as well leave them there.

Was obviously hampered with injuries but we could have won alot more of those early games with smarter match committee moves and selection.

Grade is a B-, like Horse, Heeney saved his ass on more than 1 occasion
I'm not going to pretend I'm a coach or have your 'coaching knowledge'.....but seriously, show me a perfect coach. They don't exist.....Roos maybe.

I'm sure Dean will learn from his first full season as a senior coach and with hopefully a full squad at his disposal, will be able to coach as he 'should' next year.

Hamling/Francis/Lloyd, if they are still holding out players next year from the 22 we have no chance

Ramps, great servant, time to go

Jmac, salvagable, needs to improve or be overtaken, Cleary, Ollie very similar.

Rowy, simply doesnt do enough as a mid, not sure if he is ever going to be a 25 touch mid or where that would even leave him ? We moved Hewett on who was that same player with twice the possessions

Ladhams or Green need to play

Roberts, Sheldrick have shown potential, still very young

Braeden needs to go into the middle or at least be told to have a shot fwd of centre, give him the same licence Warner had when he was starting out

If we persist with Blakey in defence, he needs to play alongside 3 tall defenders. You cant have your razor thin, rolls royce jumping into and crashing packs. Put him on a wing

From the 2s worth a shot - Datolli, Hannily, Warner, Bice, Mitchell but when we pick them we need to let them play.
Take the blinkers off and let them off the tracks.... Look at this Angwin kid for GWS,never heard of him, 20 games, pick 20, 25 touches, let them play, if I see Corey or Cleary come in and get 5 touches after chasing it in the 2s I'll throw up
Hamling was doing a great job on Hogan until he got injured early in the third quarter. It was one of the turning points in the game. The only tall we had on the backline was Melican

No issue with Hamling as a defender, in fact said multiple times, when he plays alongside Melican and Tom Mc it works wonders for Blakey

Next year he is 33, played what 10 games in 3 yrs ? Is that worth hanging onto instead of playing a kid coming thru ?

Firmly believe we need 3 tall defenders plus Blakey and 3 tall fwds one of whom is a Ruck

I've never called for Cox's head but as a club we need to get out of this defensive mindset. We recruited running talent for over 8 yrs yet we still play like is 2012.

Heeney/Warner/Gulden/Blakey.... We should be taking every team on head to head

If you watch a replay, it could still be quite enjoyable, if you turn it off at half-time.

In short yes. Age is no barrier as long as you don’t loose your pace. Collingwood are the perfect example. You only give one year contracts, and experienced players help the younger ones develop

the big caveat for keeping him for me is as long as Cox doesn't think he is a fwd

Would be too happy if he was best 22 at the start of the year either
