I'm not writing him off, I believe he is capable. I put it on the coaches, we can't be happy to have a mid with his output or more the point his role. Had 1 score involvement last night
JJ is enough for a defensive role👍 1Comment

Cox isn't on the block but big crosses this year we're-
Tom Mc fwd
Trying to explain how tall Blakey is and using him as a tall defender, killing his run
Mclean as a 2nd Ruck
Francis and Hamling, should have only be played as break glass
Playing Defensive full fwds, don't think it will catch on
Not playing enough talls fwd, therefore no bail outdown the line, making us look for targets that arent there in the middle of the ground
Too focused on shutting down the opposition instead of backing in your team to go head to head
Playing kids from the 2s and not letting them play, Horse style, may as well leave them there.
Was obviously hampered with injuries but we could have won alot more of those early games with smarter match committee moves and selection.
Grade is a B-, like Horse, Heeney saved his ass on more than 1 occasion
I'm sure Dean will learn from his first full season as a senior coach and with hopefully a full squad at his disposal, will be able to coach as he 'should' next year.Comment

Time for some calls for next year
Hamling/Francis/Lloyd, if they are still holding out players next year from the 22 we have no chance
Ramps, great servant, time to go
Jmac, salvagable, needs to improve or be overtaken, Cleary, Ollie very similar.
Rowy, simply doesnt do enough as a mid, not sure if he is ever going to be a 25 touch mid or where that would even leave him ? We moved Hewett on who was that same player with twice the possessions
Ladhams or Green need to play
Roberts, Sheldrick have shown potential, still very young
Braeden needs to go into the middle or at least be told to have a shot fwd of centre, give him the same licence Warner had when he was starting out
If we persist with Blakey in defence, he needs to play alongside 3 tall defenders. You cant have your razor thin, rolls royce jumping into and crashing packs. Put him on a wing
From the 2s worth a shot - Datolli, Hannily, Warner, Bice, Mitchell but when we pick them we need to let them play.
Take the blinkers off and let them off the tracks.... Look at this Angwin kid for GWS,never heard of him, 20 games, pick 20, 25 touches, let them play, if I see Corey or Cleary come in and get 5 touches after chasing it in the 2s I'll throw upComment

Next year he is 33, played what 10 games in 3 yrs ? Is that worth hanging onto instead of playing a kid coming thru ?
Firmly believe we need 3 tall defenders plus Blakey and 3 tall fwds one of whom is a RuckComment

I'm not going to pretend I'm a coach or have your 'coaching knowledge'.....but seriously, show me a perfect coach. They don't exist.....Roos maybe.

Heeney/Warner/Gulden/Blakey.... We should be taking every team on head to head👍 1Comment

No issue with Hamling as a defender, in fact said multiple times, when he plays alongside Melican and Tom Mc it works wonders for Blakey

Toby Greene might cited by for a 2nd indescretion by the AFL, for a back kick to Rampe's groin area at start of the game. Vision from behind the goals was shown on FC last night, which panel thought is not good and Toby Greene should cop another week's suspension.

And there's the comparison that can be made to the Heeney suspension of last year. Heeney did the sort of push off, that would happen many times in a game without penalty, but hit the St Kilda player in the head, because he was unaware that player had slipped over. Despite being unintentional contact to the head, Heeney got a week. Here, it looks like Greene attempted to kick Rampe in the nuts, but since Rampe was still walking around, he probably missed. So, because the contact was more likely to have been to the upper, inner thigh, will the AFL decide that everything's fine?Comment

Our player had nothing to play for and it looked like it. Great first half. Then our blokes totally trashed the Bloods Culture Brand. There was nothing. not even a whimper. They looked like they were playing a Grand final. This is pathetic. If they don't want to go out and play for the guernsey and fight and die for the colours, then they can eff off and go elsewhere. Our so called stars went totally missing in the second half. Heeney, Warner, McInerney, Jordan, Blakey (truthfully, this was one of his worst games but it may be because he was playing a lock down role yet again), Rowie, Gus, Papley all went missing. I am not going to blame the forwards, the ball never wentr in there, or the backs, they were under huge pressure as the ball came in without any pressure what so ever. These so called stars must have thought they were playing in a Grand Final, after all they don't turn up in them. Papley went to the mids and got nothing. He needs to shut his gob until he can produce at least a fair performance. His game was more the underwhelming, it was trash. Aaron Francis is not even near it as a forward. He lacks confidence. The only players to stand up, Grundy, Buller, Wil and the backs tried, especially Wicks and Melican, but were inundated.Comment

It seems like every few months, he comes up with a new way to be a grub. And he's obviously the main beneficiary of the AFL's strange decision a while back, to not have any cumulative penalties for illegal acts. He just keeps on committing cheap shot after cheap shot and each time it's treated as a first offence.

Agree with Heeney's accidental FOOTBALL action last year and suspension being a travesty in comparison!Comment
