General footy chat Finals Thread 2025.

Still sort of interested, even with the obvious problem of no Swans. Probably my preferred option is for a Gold Coast premiership, but I'd be quite surprised if they survived their trip to Fremantle. Who are my second favourite option. Geelong are my least favourite option, but if I was a betting man, I'd put my money on them.

Tonight's clash between Collingwood and Adelaide, should be an excellent start to the finals series.

Quite an intense first quarter. Is there any particular reason why the Adelaide fans seem to be booing the Collingwood defenders: Houston, Maynard and especially Quaynor?

Tough but very entertaining first half. Electric atmosphere. Enjoyable watch.

Seems the Rankine-less Crows are getting stage fright.

What's that, you can't win without Isaac? Well, you won't win next week then and you'll be out.

Pull your pathetic fingers out Crows.

Crows kicking the last 3 goals of the quarter puts them within striking distance.

Well I'm bored with this game, i think tomorrow nights game will be the good one. Both Brisbane and geelong can play entertaining football. Collingwood are awful and slow, adelaide tonight have been terrible. i hope neither get to the grand final.

Full credit to Collingwood, their pressure was intense, but Adelaide were really ordinary tonight. No composure under pressure, and no composure when not under pressure either. It's not a good combination.

I think the Quaynor booing has to do with the Rankine incident. No idea about the two.

I understand McCrae wanting to stick up for his players and don't condone last night's treatment of Quaynor in any way but Collingwood complaining about its players being booed? The hypocrisy is breathtaking!

Maynard, entirely understandable. Houston, I assume from his time at Port when he knocked out Rankine.

Quaynor was allegedly the target of the Rankine slur. It takes a special crowd to turn a neutral observer into a Pies supporter but the Crows have delivered once again.

It's finals, high stakes, who cares.
They only boo players having an impact, if a player doesn't get near it, they don't get booed, it's a sign of respect if you ask me.

Aker got booed, he didnt care, he embraced it.

Thought Frampton played a very good game for a player with a very limited skill set, he was everywhere
