It might be a fun start to the round tonight with Carlton v Richmond. Carlton are firm favourites, but Richmond does have the talent to cause an upset. Which could be amusing. Two games into the season and Carlton fans already baying for the blood of Voss.
Friday night sees Essendon given the prime time slot, after they abused that privilege last season with a string of dud performances.
Saturday sees four games that would have been better use of that slot: Bulldogs v Giants, Cats v Dockers, Swans v Lions, and Magpies v Crows.
On Sunday, the Demons taking on the Saints might be interesting. On the one hand, the Demons look like they're in for a difficult rebuilding season, but on the other hand, like the Tigers, they probably have the young talent to spring and upset.
And in the final match of the round, the Eagles enter, is it year six or seven of a difficult rebuild? Shame.
