It has been reported Pendlebury will play against the Cats next week to equal the record but rested against us the following week (SCG) in order to break the record against West Coast at the MCG in 3 weeks time (R11).

David King has been filthy this week at North for the decision they made 10 years ago to force Boomer Harvey into retirement, whilst he was still one of their better players and wanted to play on for another year at least.

It would've made Pendlenury consider whether to play on next year at 39yo in order to break games record.

Instead it triggered off North's 10 year rebuild at the bottom which they haven't yet climbed out of, although this year they've made their most promising start (thanks in part to Luke Parker's stellar form across half back, which doesn't surprise Swans fans. Always a champ).

Anyone tempted to go for the Bulldogs, on the grounds that the Dockers are more of a threat to our ladder position? Or do we just want to see the Bulldogs kicked while they're down?

You, deep down, know the answer.

Yes, and so far, my inner desires are not being fulfilled.

Don't give up yet. Dockers are within striking distance after a late goal.

I think that the commentators are right to have a grumble about some of the high contact frees that are being paid. There seems to be so many this year, where almost all the contact is across the chest, but because the tackled player drops towards the ground and initiates high contact by extending their head towards the tackler, then a free is paid.

Forgot that the Showdown was also on tonight. Not sure if it's a good idea to have two Friday night games?

It’s not, but that’s the AFL at its finest this year.
