Too big, too strong, too skilled and too hungry. The umps didn’t win it for them but they certainly failed to keep it fair.
Patterns emerge, but do they mean anything? No.

Geelong were too good today, and we've been down on form. It's not a surprising result, it might cause a few rethinks and honestly that's not a bad thing. Better to see where the holes are now than when we are playing finals. Good wake up call. Poor Grundy has just been carrying this team, give the man a break and maybe play Ladhams next week?

        Play 2 rucks already Cox.

Didn't really look like winning from about halfway through the second quarter, but I don't really think it's the end of the world. Firstly, we've been a bit destabilised by injuries recently, while they have close to a full squad. That can easily change (though unfortunately it went further to the negative today, with Rosas, Papley and Sheldrick picking up injuries). Secondly, it's the sort of loss that stops the side from getting too overconfident, which may have been a problem in 22 and 24. But it wasn't the sort of thrashing that will significantly dent confidence levels. And finally, it's still early in the season and there's still plenty of time to improve and hopefully be peaking around September.

Grundy understandably looked tired today. Give him a week off.

                Agree with all the above.

Thought the key defenders in McCartin, Edwards and Melican all deserve credit given what was coming their way. They had one or two moments with ball in hand but they barely lost a contest. They were outstanding.

Love Chad, but finger out time pal. And not sure whether Rowie is injured, out of form or down from being played out of position, but it’s not working.

Cats were on fire, slick as, played in front
pounced on loose balls. Were the better team today .
Swans tried hard to get back in iirc.

Between good coaching and great umpiring the Cats win again in The Cattery. Herd to win down there. But there were too many players not willing to put pressure on. I also think if you are going to bring a midfielder into the line up @@@@ING PLAY HIM THERE NOT AS A FORWARD POCKET!!!WE NEEDED SOMEONE CHANGE THE MIDS UP, BUT LEFT CLEARY AS A FORWARD POCKET. Why did Cox not make the change. Chad was murdered in the mids.

Warner is surely the most overrated swan. Goes missing way too often or tries to bite off to much. He needs to pull his finger out given his salary

Did not see the game but I heard they was a lot of criticism of Chad Warner's game.

Swans played from behind mostly and their disposal
was well below their best .
                          Cats way too slick today.

Cox said after the game that Sheldrick was just cramp.

Missing the point, play a 2nd ruck for the bloke not 1 out 1 in. Every other AFL coach does it yet Cox and Co are seeing something different. How many @@@@ing times, long down the line to nothing because we dont have enough talls.

Curnow was awesome up the ground, all our fwds need to run up at the ball and not wrestle.

Treacey best rated fwd in the comp, doesn't wrestle at all, gets on his bike and jumps at it

Rowy on Stewart would have to be the dumbest @@@@ I've ever seen. Rowy is under the ruckman or in the 2s, he doesn't have another feather in his cap

Warner is 25yrs old in his prime, wouldn't you leave him on ball ?

Maybe the other team would tag him ? Maybe he would be the top line midfielder we are paying for ?
