Absolutely. Imagine being hit by him. He’s great at using his body to clear space too. Just a truck.
Yes, a very even performance and our pressure was generally very good.
And on Edwards: I'm now wondering if his approaching footsteps are just a bit heavier and louder than our other defenders, and over time, will that be a sound that opposition forwards will increasingly come to dread?Comment

I think that free kick for Croft against Edwards was there….. so long as the rules are consistently applied in which case there will be 2,973,451 frees each week and the average game will take about 14 hours to get through.
FFS, the AFL is clearly doing its best to turn this game into an unwatchable farce. My opinion is objective truth in its purest form😀 2Comment

A great bounce back and win, however there were 2 really stupid incidents that could cost players time and money. 1. Blakey's tummy tap when it was totally unnecessary. Could easily have been reversed. 2. Errol's very dumb act on Weightman, when Weightman was bending over and defenceless, for a 50 metre penalty. That's close to a week. Hell boys, we're playing Freo next week.Comment

The only outcome of that Blakey incident should be a fine for staging. I agree with the stupidity of the action, but fair dinkum that Dogs player was a goose.A great bounce back and win, however there were 2 really stupid incidents that could cost players time and money. 1. And Errol's brain fart minute or so was a shocker. Not sure what was said or happened, but he is rarely riled up like that. Errol has been just okay since coming back (no issues with that - he will take time to find form like most players), but we don't need silly junk like that. Because at some point as you suggest Nico it could cost us very badly."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

Just to get further on the Edwards bandwagon: last night he had 18 spoils, the next best were Khamis and O'Donnell on 9 for the Bulldogs and McCartin on 8.

Western Bulldogs aren't a defence to measure yourself against.
Problem is when we go small against good teams they will take Curnow out if the mix.
We go long into the fwd line more often than not, need talls crashing packs like Mclean.
Still not convinced of Hannily or Cleary, both very fumbly.👍 1Comment

Either the Bulldogs player has a very sensitive ribcage, or the Bulldogs player was staging. The latter is almost certain.
This was a very stupid action and was rightly punished on field with a free kick leading to an easy goal. This should be highlighted mercilessly in the match review with a replay on loop in front of the entire playing group until Gulden goes to the front of the room and apologises to all the players. He needs to apologise to Weightman as well if he hasn't already done so. Gulden needs to harden up and get the skin of a rhino quick smart because it shows that it's possible to put him off his game with niggle.
The incident should become a part of future training for new recruits showing what not to do."Unbelievable!" -- Nick Davis leaves his mark on the 2005 semi finalComment

Papley's likely to return next week. That will solve several of these problems at once while Papley feasts on crumbs.Western Bulldogs aren't a defence to measure yourself against.

Next week is Fremantle. They've turned into flying purple people eaters lately. I think they're due for a loss, but can we beat them?"Unbelievable!" -- Nick Davis leaves his mark on the 2005 semi final👍 1Comment
