Port or Dons - Which Loss Do You Rue The Most in 2006?

I can't help be a bit annoyed when I think we lost to these 2 basket cases (injuries to them aside).

I think I am more upset about the Port one the most. They are a shambles and to play the way we did was embarrassing.

Anyone else get these pangs of annoyance?

Neither now that we have won 4 on the trot and look to be playing great footy.

Both. Wasted opportunities and these losses may come back to haunt us at the end of the season.

We didn't beat Richmond last year. Does anyone rue that loss?

None of them. If it means we build like we did last year then I won't care a bit who the hell we played early in the season.

The only concern is that we have the capability to play like crap against crap opposition. The Lloyd factor is huge though. The team we lost to is a different one than the team on the bottom of the ladder.

Yeah, still get embarrassed at the thought of that one.

Of course these things annoy, that's where Plough was coming from by suggesting Kevin was still feeling a bit dirty on the one loss in 2000!

It would've hurt more losing to WC 3 times last year, instead of equalling them 2-2.

Ask at the end of 22 rounds. If we've missed a home semi or top 4 placing by one game then I will really rue them. At the time both gave me a bad dose of the @@@@s.

If we miss out on the top 2 or 4 because of it then they will be very costly.

For me the Port game loss was worse, only because it spoiled the "big" day of unfurling the flag.

I think I'm more annoyed by the Melbourne loss because we actually played good football, had more scoring shots and really coulda - and shoulda - won.

The other two were disappointing but we were beaten in each case by a team that played much better than we did. It is possible that both losses were needed as part of the process of remembering how to play good football, how to win, and how much better it is to win than to lose.

I agree on the Melbourne loss. It's one we really should have won and we stuffed up. It's also gave a lot of confidence to Melbourne and thus created a potential competitor.

Perhaps neither, can they not serve as a reminder to the team about what happens when they play as "individuals" rather than the successfull bloods ethos?Just a thought.
