    Reserves v Ainslie: Schmidt Explodes!

Well not literally, but its an unbelievable story in any case

Midfielder Tim Schmidt has further staked his claim for the seniors berth collecting a massive 62 possessions and three goals in the Swans Reserves 182-34 win over Ainslie in round seven on Saturday afternoon.

What, was the ball on a string or something? That's amazing! If he doesn't get a gig soon, something very wrong, even with the seniors doing so well atm!

With Malceski likely to miss a number of games with the hammy, what is the likelihood of Schmidt coming in? I realise C Bolts has to come in too, but I'd like to see this kid play with the big boys. Surely he is due.

Surely you have to reward the kid but I really cannot see who to drop if CBolts comes straight in for Malceski. McVeigh is probably the most likely but that would be very harsh plus I don't think Schmidt can play as a forward.

BTW, Ainslie were the 4th placed team before this round so they are hardly easybeats of AFL Canberra.

Roos said 63 on radio inMelb. don't want to take away from thee glory.

The boy MUST play, why not play one ruckman. Chambers needs a spell and Jolly needs to step up, ala Josh Fraser becoming the sole ruckman helped him find form.

Surely he has to get a shot now - replace Malceski.

Did you see his deliberate kick out of bounds in the last Q. He had no idea. We were hoping he would get pinged but no such luck.
