Rumours are going around that a couple of Melbourne clubs want to pick him up.Anyone heard this?

In a team that was beaten by 65 points, I still think that Bateman was one of the Hawks better players and seemed to win many of the one on one contests against McVeigh. Perhaps his disposals were down because of limited opportunities, not because of the "sterling" defensive efforts of Jarrad?

We were very lucky on Saturday night that the Hawks were not able to exploit their advantage up forward with height. We were one tall defender short with Malceski and with him going off early it could have been a disaster if the Hawks were able to move the ball quickly and effiently into their forward line.

As for whether Schmidt comes in for McVeigh, the one area North are suspect at present is pace so I would think from a match commitee point of view they would be looking to exploit that this week so I can't see Schmidt replacing McVeigh this week.

Yep a 65 point whitewash was only a couple of quick forward thrusts away from defeat.

It must be great being Nico, being able to criticise without being able to justify it. Quite a few of the Swans goals came from rebounds/fast breaks. You could argue then that these were 12 point turn arounds. If 4 of these during the game did not go our way it could less than a 3 goal win. The Hawks won plenty of the ball it was their failure to capitalise on this the their F50 that caused the lopsided final score.
