My Pokemon brings all the boys to the yard and they're like "Wanna trade cards?"
"Damn right, I wanna trade cards. I can beat you, I've got Charizard!"

They got 72,000 when both teams were top four, but it was business end of the season and this time there is much less hype and exposure due to the WC.

                Anything over 60,000 is fun-tuss-teek!
That's the problem with modern day medicine - there's no more natural selection of the species.
No wonder there's so many Collingwood fans.

the saints loss might lower the crowd a bit

Now why does that not surprise me? 1 loss and people drop off why are some syd based supporters so fickle? I know not all are but why is there this reputation that syd have to keep winning to maintain support up there?

I have a slightly different theory on the crowds for the Pies TS games. I think we will always get about 50K no matter what, and depending on how the Pies are going, add anywhere between 10K - 25K "nuf-nufs"

I think the crowd variation has little to do with Sydney Swans support, rather with supporters of other clubs, who live in Sydney, or travelling supporters. These are the people more likely to decide to go or not in the week or so leading up.

                            Could do.

                            Crowd was 72300 in 2003, 50,100 in 2004 then only 44,300 2005.

So numbers have actually been dropping. But given this year's dynamics (Pies & Swans position on ladder, plus increased popularity of the game in Sydney) numbers should be up this year.
Captain, I am detecting large quantities of win in this sector
