Overall the stats are quite favourable. Shows we were playing an effective style of football.

Drop in tackles may be an indication of our poor endeavours against better teams.

Its interesting though, they are pretty big nets. You would think that you could tackle 3 or 4 at once with them.

We are the 15th worst in terms of total errors we make. Only Carlton makes more per game.

However, on the flipside, our opponents make more than we do on average.

Part of that is probably because in our big wins our opponents made a huge number of errors.

That is the problem with stats that average out the whole season. The disparity between Sydney's best (Richmond) and worst (Port and probably Collingwood in terms of ball use if not margin) has been huge. You lose a lot of information by looking at averages.

Now I look through the data there is no real discernible trend, except that we commit a lot of errors.

Only twice have we had less than 50 errors - Brisbane and Collingwood!!

Collingwood was actually our lowest number - 45. Collingwood had 52.

We average 59 errors per game. The best is 51.

It's difficult to say how much this stat matters now I look through the data as its correlation to performance is not strong.
