It was even worse when I had to drive for 30 minutes in the wrong direction to pick up the kids then drive another hour to get to the SCG.

Can't say that I'm a fan of Friday night games.

It was the Friday night final in Perth last year that made it impossible for me to go to all 26 games.

Has everyone forgotten the semi against Geelong was on a Friday? I voted no because it would be too hard to change the sprinkler schedule.

Yes, for me, if they play at TS.

Big fan of a casual Friday night match.

I am sure it does inconvenience some people, but I remember when we played against Essendon (I think 2001) on a Friday night in the pouring rain (and got killed!), heaps of people from my then work who weren't even into footy at all went and made it a bit of an event.

There was an amazing atmosphere that night, despite the weather and scoreline.

Depending on the TV deal next year, would love some Friday night matches in Melbourne also.

You have to be able to depart prior to 11pm. Not much good for a night game.

As noted already, we can't play Friday nights under the current TV rights deal becuase of channel 9. We only got Friday night finals last year becuase of channel 10's exclusive finals deal.

As for next year under the 7/10/Foxtel combo you can expect us to play a couple of Friday night games in either Melbourne, Adelaide or Perth to be beamed back into Sydney live possibly on Foxtel.

I can't see the AFL being too keen to put us up against the NRL game of the week crowed wise on a Friday night in Sydney.

I still don't agree with friday nights as there is always someone wanting to go out and get plastered on friday night.

Sundays helps me relax, read the papers, watch relevant media on TV and then sit down and get into the game.

What more could a person want on a sunday!
I do remember that match - I was there.
It was great to see Plugger kick his ton that year and watch everyone run out on the ground (unfortunately I couldn't join them as I was in the top tier).
Equally as unfortunately, we copped a hiding that night, which made the four hour drive home pretty miserable.

I used enjoy going to the odd occasion Friday Night game at the SCG.

As a league supporter,i am used to going to a games on friday night.

I think Friday Night games in Sydney would be better at Telstra Stadium though
