Or being content with not being the best.

In life its ok to find a happy medium, but in professional sport its all or nothing. A flag this year, means we are up for a three-peat next year. Imagine that!

The rest of my post that you didn't quote said something along the lines of "I'd be happy if we won 2 or 3 in a row." I'm happy either way, given I'd almost given up on winning 1 premiership.

Schneiderman...I agree that I find I can cope with loss far easier now...but that was not the point. The point was that I find it difficult to be confident about the Swans winning any single game...let alone be off handed about winning the next 3 easy!
I've been around too long & prefer to be prudent about every game...then pleasantly surprised when we win.

our little cell ofbelievers were nervous wrecks over last year's Grand Final.

This year it's almost like history repeating itself , but this time , we and the Swans and the media know it can be done.

Is it possible that Paul Roos planned it to work this way?

From here on they know the script and this time the three of us will be at the G to see them win back to back.
Flaunt it now, 2008 could be pretty bleak

I think this will be a given. I dread the future after Hall is gone.

I think the recent experience of Brisbane & Port shows you need to grasp your oppportunities when you get them and in 2006 we have an excellent chance of going back to back.
              ???

Whilst i am not of the same opinion regarding being content despite not winning this year, everyone is entitled to feel how they want to feel. Its not ridiculous because not everyone is as hell bent on going back to back as you are.

All i can say is regarding not going back to back. That would mean one of the others winning it, being Adelaide, West Coast, perhaps Melbourne or the Saints. Would you really want them having the right to gloat about getting one up on us? Would personally make me quite ill.

But thats just my opinion/attitude, some may disagree, but its mine to have.

Nothing to fear. The post-Hall years will be known as the LRT years.

Or even during the Capper years! For a few weeks in '86 and '87 we were playing, arguably the best footy that anyone had seen. We finished 2nd and 3rd but couldn't capitalise when it counted.

I remember how good I felt in '93 when we beat Melbourne. I remember how good I felt in '05 when we beat the eagles and it was surprisingly similar!

I remember how bad I felt in '96 when we lost to North.

Teams have to make the most of being in 'the window', and our window is well and truly open.
