He is getting frustrated. We had the ball deep in our forward line and it had trickled over for a throw-in, Hall flung Scarlett to the ground and gave a way a free then mouthed off to the umpire and gave away 50. Roos didn't pull him.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

We have dodged a massive big bullet.

Originally posted by JudesaGun How many times have they taken a mark inside the square in our forward line? Where's the forward pressure?
That's not about forward pressure. That's about poor skills as a result of much more pressure on our delivery from the Geelong midfield than we are putting on theirs when they go forward.

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.
Not getting the telecast so keep us posted ppls....
How are the comparison of stats? Are we just not getting the footy or its a case of getting the footy, just not using if effectively...
Either way to only be this much behind after reading what everyone says isn't too bad.
Surely we'll get more possessions or make more effective disposals and bring it back?
That's the problem with modern day medicine - there's no more natural selection of the species.
No wonder there's so many Collingwood fans.

Granted. But Harley, Milburn shoudl not be taking contested marks in our forward 50...not with Doyle, Hall, O'Loughlin, Grundy and O'Keefe as tall forwards down there.
One positive is, I don't think we could play a worse half of footy.
Crap half of football, but at least we're still in it.
Yet again our forward is quite ineffective. Hall and MOL have been abysmal. O'Keefe has been good.
Part of this has been shocking delivery. Our disposal has been woeful and our midfield poor. Ablett is probably our best midfielder, which is a worrying outcome.
Barry still being well beaten in defence.
LRT doing a decent job on Mooney.
C Bolton fantastic effort on Ablett.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Jarad Rooke - 6 tackles and 6 free kicks for. We've had 9 as a team to half time. But in this case, MOST of them for him have been there.
I guess to be only 8 points down at halftime with Hall and O'Loughlin having 4 touches between them means if we can find a way to get them into the game, we're still a chance, but will need to play a lot lot better.

8 point deficit is an incredible result considering the way we have played. Notice how quiet the Geelong crowd was. They were stunned by those 2 late goals. Hopefully we can take that bit of momentum into the second half. Makes the first goal after half time fairly important.
